This a shocker again coming from Buhari-led govt!! Do you know that  with the new curriculum for primary to JSS 3 it is now compulsory to teach Islamic studies in all schools including christian schools? The NERDC, the nat. Educational research and dev council the body responsible for formulating educational policies under prof Obioma approved this curriculum which completely negates or violates the constitution of the fed republic of Nigeria which gives right to parents choice of religion for their children. The subjects to being condensed into one are Christian rel. Studies, Islamic rel studies, soc studies and civic education. This is absurd, disgusting and absolutely unacceptable!!! These have been subtly done and this will mean
a)  that it becomes mandatory to employ a muslin to teach Islamic religion in a christian school and we all know that a predominately Muslim school will not employ a Christian teacher to teach CRS.
b) when they appoint those to represent the Christians they put men like Obioma who is not a believer to speak for us.
c)The content of the CRS has be so watered down that it will not make any impact yet in one of the text bks there is a statement "Do not listen to your parents if they prevent you from accepting Islam"
A book written by an Iman has been QUICKLY approved by the President to be used in teaching these subjects and of course it will favour one against the other.
Thank God for the Nigeria graduate fellowship who are speaking out. This is evil. We do not want our children taught islam. Christianity and Islam are not the j same. Let govt revert to the status quo where children are taught the religion chosen by their parent. PLS PASS ON
