Democracy is what is presently reigning in the world, this is because of the dividend attach to it.
Political education can serve as a tool for entrenching democracy in Nigeria permanently and any part of the world as well. In the case of Nigeria democracy was twice aborted (15th January, 1966 and 31st December. 1983). Some of the reasons that lead to these abortion range from political to economic. This suggest that Nigerians (leaders and followers) have to learn from the past to avoid future termination of democracy in the country.
Political education which is seen as a process of enlightening people about what government is all about, their role in it and appreciating the need to contribute in installing as well as sustaining the government put in place.
To prevent political violence, corruption and demonization which are the major threats of democracy; leaders and sound need sound political education. There is hardly part of the world that experience stability in democracy without sound political education.
