They suppose to die young, but God said no, God is so miraculous .
They Were Supposed To Die Young, Instead The World’s Oldest Conjoined Twins Have Inspired Millions. Most people don’t think twice about performing simple tasks like walking down the street, getting dressed or going for a swim. But imagine if every decision, action, and ordinary chore required complete cooperation with someone else. Conjoined twins Ronnie and Donnie Galyon have surprised the medical establishment and defied the odds by recently celebrating their 64th birthday – making them the oldest living conjoined twins in the world. When they were both born back in 1951, the prognosis for survival was dire with doctors fearing the brothers wouldn’t survive more than 24 hours. How wrong they have proved them to be. Their unique condition see each twin born 2 legs and 2 arms, but they are joined as one in the pelvic area and share the same lower digestive tract. It’s resulted in the pair facing each other every day, for the past 64 years never being able to have a moment of solace or isolation. Based in Ohio their daily routine is a constant battle between compromise and cooperation. Despite their physical limitations, the brothers have a close and deep bond where kindness, laughter and understand often triumph over frustration and anger. At night they sleep in a customized bed which was provided by the Mary Free Bed Rehabilitation Hospital. Its unique design has allowed the twins to achieve a more peaceful and comfortable sleep. Something so minor as a bed which we all take for granted, has had a profound impact on the pair – resulting in a better quality of life for them both. Their dream is to be able to watch their favourite American Football Team live (thankfully they support the same team!) who play some 800 miles away from their home. Despite their physical limitations and daily challenge, don’t bet against them overcoming the odds once more to make that wish a reality. We’re incredibly touched by their positive and hopeful outlook on life. It truly is a breath of fresh air and a perspective we all need more of in our life. Check out their powerful story below!
