US asked the Nigerian President to keep up pressure on Boko Haram
US to Buhari: Keep up pressure on Boko Haram
— 31st October 2016
From Timothy Olanrewaju, Maiduguri
As the Federal Government weakens Boko Haram, United States yesterday advised President Muhammadu Buhari to sustain the momentum.
Washington has urged the President to put more pressure on Boko Haram to ensure the insurgents do not regroup even as the country distanced herself from the Nigerian government negotiations with the group that led to the release of 21 Chibok girls recently.
United States Under-Secretary of State for Civilian Security, Democracy and Human Rights, Sarah Sewall, told Daily Sun in Maiduguri that the Buhari administration has made progress in the fight against Boko Haram, but Washington wants the Federal Government to step up pressure on the terrorists.
“From our experiences, insurgency and terrorist groups can be very resilient, can move and again reconstitute themselves. So, it’s absolutely critical that both federal and state levels of governments partner very closely the military campaigns to ensure they can provide security, services and good governance for the country as Boko Haram is pushed out particularly in the neighborhoods. At the same time, Nigeria needs to put pressure on Boko Haram,” Sewall said.
She said the United States which claimed not to be disposed to negotiation with terror groups, would not comment on how Nigeria secured the release of her citizenry abducted by terrorists but would rather support the country’s efforts at getting rid of all forms of terrorism acts.
“We’re doing what we can in supporting Nigeria through the military efforts; military partnership which include providing information. We’ve been engaged in the training of the Nigerian Army. We’re pleased to be partners with the Nigerian military,” she noted.
She said though Boko Haram came and started before the Syrian-based ISIS, the U.S. was aware of the grave implication of Boko Haram allegiance with the international terrorism group.
On the post-insurgency assessment in the northeast, Sewall described the humanitarian situation as huge. She said Americans all over the world have been watching the situation in the North-east, Nigeria with great concern, but were possibly unsure of the extent of the challenges.
“We know that people have suffered greatly from Boko Haram. We also know that the military has recorded great success and clearing areas in the northeast where there were great security challenges associated with Boko Haram which we understand, now resulted into huge humanitarian crisis here.
“It has been very useful to talk to those who have been displaced or those who were captured by Boko Haram to those who are seeking to restore services and security in the areas that have been cleared and the enormous challenges that still lie ahead. I think there is message of hope. Progress has been made and I’m convinced that the world needs to pay attention to the humanitarian situation in Borno,” she said.
Two weeks ago, the Federal Government, through the Internal Red Cross Society and Switzerland secured the released of 21 Chibok girls.
The government said efforts were ongoing to secure freedom for about 200 girls who were abducted by Boko Haram from Government Girls Secondary School, Chibol, Borno State in April 2014.
The freed girls’ welfare had been taken over by government. They were hosted by President Buhari last week.

President in our time
Ex President Ibrahim Babangida presently lives in a 50-room mansion on hilltop in Minna, ex president Abdulsalam Abubakar that ruled for less than a year currently lives on hilltop in Minna built by Julius Berger. Ex president Olusegun Obasanjo currently lives on hilltop mansion complete with N7billion library in Abeokuta.
And this is where ex governor of present 6 northern states, ex head of state, ex PTF chairman, current sitting President of Nigeria lives? I thank God that PMB came in my life time.
Of the 10 aircraft he met on the presidential fleet, 2 are about to be sold, 2 has been donated to our air force, while 2 are currently undergoing repair.
Since he became president, his wife has been to hajj and Umurah in Saudi Arabia twice, to UK for daughter's graduation, to US twice for invitational engagement , then to Europe recently. In all her travels, she has never used any aircraft in the presidential fleet but rather commercial airlines.
Was it not in this same country that the wife of an ex president travelled with over 60 women just to shop in hong Kong, using one of the aircraft on the presidential fleet?
Even if it remains me and my household, PMB will forever remains God-sent. A sitting president who can give out his daughter in marriage, with less than 30 people in attendance, in his sparsely furnished apartment is a rare breed.
One day, in my old age, I hope to gather my kids and grand kids and tell them stories of PMB, the man that once ruled Nigeria with a spartan life style.
Up Nigerian surgeon.
Why Is CNN not reporting this one? Nigerian Surgeon in Texas Children's Hospital (Dr. Oluyinka Olutoye) Removes Baby From Womb and Operates On Her Tumor before returning her Back to her mother's uterus and now the baby is born and living well. President Obama has invited him over to the white house.

Food for thought
*Growing Up is Optional*
She said, “Hi handsome. My name is Rose. I’m eighty-seven years old. Can I give you a hug?”
I laughed and enthusiastically responded, “Of course you may!” and she gave me a giant squeeze.
“Why are you in college at such a young, innocent age?” I asked.
She jokingly replied, “I’m here to meet a rich husband, get married, and have a couple of kids…”
“No seriously,” I asked. I was curious what may have motivated her to be taking on this challenge at her age.
“I always dreamed of having a college education and now I’m getting one!” she told me.
After class we walked to the student union building and shared a chocolate milkshake. We became instant friends. Every day for the next three months, we would leave class together and talk non-stop. I was always mesmerized listening to this “time machine” as she shared her wisdom and experience with me.
Over the course of the year, Rose became a campus icon and she easily made friends wherever she went. She loved to dress up and she revelled in the attention bestowed upon her from the other students. She was living it up.
At the end of the semester we invited Rose to speak at our football banquet. I’ll never forget what she taught us. She was introduced and stepped up to the podium.
As she began to deliver her prepared speech, she dropped her three by five cards on the floor. Frustrated and a little embarrassed she leaned into the microphone and simply said, “I’m sorry I’m so jittery. I gave up beer for Lent and this whiskey is killing me! I’ll never get my speech back in order so let me just tell you what I know.”
As we laughed she cleared her throat and began, “We do not stop playing because we are old; we grow old because we stop playing.
There are only four secrets to staying young, being happy, and achieving success. You have to laugh and find humor every day.
You’ve got to have a dream. When you lose your dreams, you die.
We have so many people walking around who are dead and don’t even know it!
There is a huge difference between growing older and growing up. If you are nineteen years old and lie in bed for one full year and don’t do one productive thing, you will turn twenty years old.
If I am eighty-seven years old and stay in bed for a year and never do anything I will turn eighty-eight.
Anybody can grow older. That doesn’t take any talent or ability. The idea is to grow up by always finding opportunity in change.
Have no regrets. The elderly usually don’t have regrets for what we did, but rather for things we did not do. The only people who fear death are those with regrets.”
She concluded her speech by courageously singing “The Rose.”
She challenged each of us to study the lyrics and live them out in our daily lives.
At the year’s end Rose finished the college degree she had begun all those years ago.
One week after graduation Rose died peacefully in her sleep. Over two thousand college students attended her funeral in tribute to the wonderful woman who taught by example that it’s never too late to be all you can possibly be.
REMEMBER, GROWING OLDER IS MANDATORY. GROWING UP IS
OPTIONAL.
We make a Living by what we get, We make a Life by what we give.

This information was extracted from the ministry of information's record to educate some gullible Nigerians who are brain washed in believing that this government is one-sided and intolerant to religion and ethnicity of people. This is a product of corruption, we must do away with it for Nigeria to develop.

Fathers, try to be always there for your children.
Why You Need To Be There for Your Children Now
A father’s influence goes to the fourth generation after him. Whitney Houston’s parents Emily (Cissy) and John Houston divorced when she was at kindergarten. Together with lover, Bobby Brown, Whitney smoked crack in the presence of their 5 year old daughter, Bobbi Kristina. At 22, Bobbi died of drug abuse…her mother Whitney died at 48 on similar grounds. Great careers and more importantly, great lives lost due to weak fatherhood.
π‘While there is little you can do about your ancestors, there is something that you can do about your descendants. One thing that prevents a man from being a good father is that he hasn’t completed being a boy. To be in your children’s’ memory tomorrow, you have to be in their lives’ today. Having children doesn’t make you a father. Raising them does.
π‘There are many of us who were raised up in unstable families but we don’t have to pass it on to our children. We don’t have to fight in the presence of our children. We can choose to shield their emotions from our disputes as adults. To a large extent, you are a product of your early relationships
π‘Unstable parents create insecure children. Stable parents raise stable children. Children need affection (hugs, kisses), attention (listening) and affirmation (positive words), every day. When a man loves his wife, it creates security and stability. The best gift a father can give his children is to love their mother. Children learn how to handle feelings, loses, failure and conflicts at home.
π‘Regrettably, parenting can neither be delegated nor suspended for a while as we work for the ring of fame and fortune. The growth of children is irreversible. Like a young tree, it takes the bends directed by the gardener, so is the life of a child. You can’t shape it in adulthood; you can’t pick it from where you left after you reach at the top in your career pursuits. It’s always easier to model young boys than to rehabilitate grown up men.
π‘If you invest in your child, you don’t have to invest for your child. Children require presence not presents. No amount of gifts and meeting financial obligations can replace your personal presence. Any written will can be torn in a few years after the demise of the writer of the will. The only sure inheritance that you can leave behind is the investment you make in your child not for your child.
Bless a family by sharing this word. Sharing is caring!

The wicked world, a banker hired assassins to kill her ex-husband.
THIS CRUEL WORLD! ‘Banker hires assassins to kill her ex-husband in Lagos’ The Ogun State Police Command has arrested two suspected hired-assassins and a female banker over failed attempt to assassinate her ex-husband identified as Tochukwu Onyebuchi. The State Commissioner of Police, Ahmed Iliyasu paraded the suspects at the command’s headquarters in Abeokuta on Wednesday. He said the banker, Oluchi Tochukwu, hired the suspected criminals to assassinate her husband in his residence at Ayobo area of Lagos State. Iliyasu named the two suspected assassins as Chigozie Smart (32) and Kingsley Ikechukwu (36). He said they were intercepted and arrested on Oct. 19 at Ijebu-Ode while attempting to escape to Onitsha with the victim’s Range Rover Jeep. He said Oluchi was arrested at Ayobo area of Lagos State. He said, “One Oluchi, a 32-year-old banker, who is married to one Tochukwu Onyebuchi years ago, got separated from her husband following some matrimonial problems. “The custody of their only child is currently being contested in the court but Oluchi has another plan. “She connived with the trio of Chigozie Smart, Kingsley Ikechukwu and one other who is now at large to eliminate her husband. “She arranged for the weapons which includes cutlass, iron rods and acid which she kept in her husband’s compound at Ayobo area of Lagos State and described where she kept it to the assailants. “The suspects went there on Wednesday as planned and matcheted the man severally on his head and poured the acid on him. “The suspects thereafter abandoned the victim and took away his range Rover Jeep which Oluchi instructed them to drop at her brother’s place in Onitsha, Anambra State. “Luck ran against them when a patrol team of the Ogun State command on Wednesday sighted the vehicle along the Ijebu-Ode/Benin expressway and stopped it for search. “While searching the vehicle, blood stain was seen and the two occupants were unable to give satisfactory account of the blood stain, hence, they were arrested. “It was during interrogation that the suspects revealed all that transpired to the police.” The commissioner said that the victim, who had been treated at an undisclosed hospital, was in the custody of the police helping them in the process of investigation. Oluchi, however, denied contracting the duo of Chigozie and Kingsley and one other at large to assassinate her husband. Oluchi, who acknowledged that her three-year-old marriage to her husband had crashed, told journalists that she had no reason to kill him. Meanwhile, Chigozie told newsmen that it was Oluchi who hired them to kill her husband with a promise to purchase “Tokunbo” cars for each of them after a successful operation."

Falana carpet NJC over 'media Gag'
JUDICIAL POLICY: FALANA CARPETS NJC OVER ‘MEDIA GAG’
• Wants NBA ‘democratised’
Prominent human rights activist, Mr. Femi Falana (SAN) has blasted the National Judicial Council (NJC) over plans to bar publication of its disciplinary proceedings against judicial officers.
Reacting to reports that the NJC plans to ensure that complaints against judicial officers are given a blackout in the media during the trials, Falana said it was a fallout of the criticism of NJC’s disciplinary procedures.
It recalls that following the launch of the new National Judicial Policy (NJP) yesterday by the Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Mahmud Mohammed, it was reported that sections 2(2)(4) to 2(2)(9) of the new policy bar leakage or publication of such complaints.
According to the new policy, “It shall be the policy of the Judiciary that complaints of misconduct against judicial officers or employees of the Judiciary shall not be leaked or published in the media.
“Where complaints on allegations against Judicial Officers and Court employees are submitted for investigation, the complainant or complainants shall be made to give an undertaking not to do anything to prejudice investigation or actions that may be taken.”
To underscore its seriousness, the NJP enacts that “The Institutions of the Judiciary concerned with investigation or and implementation of decisions taken on such complaints shall be obliged to cease further action where such complaints are leaked or discussed in the media.”
The NJC also warns that “Where such a leakage is occasioned after the submission of a complaint then all investigations on the complaints shall be suspended, the leakage investigated and if such leakage is from the complainant or through other parties known to such a complainant, such a complaint should be discarded.”
Further, “Where such leakage is occasioned prior to the presentation of the complaint and the source of the leakage is found to be the complainant or through other parties known to and connected with the complainant then such complaint shall not be accepted, upon submission, by the appropriate disciplinary body.”
In a provision which indicates that the censorship may be targeted at shutting out “media trial,” the new policy however enacts that “Upon the conclusion of any investigation, the judicial disciplinary bodies may allow public disclosure of their findings, subject to following the proper channels for such disclosure.”
But Falana said that the NJC had no power to prohibit citizens from exercising their freedoms, saying the new policy is designed to bar searchlight from the work of the NJC. His words: “Two weeks ago, the NJC claimed that it had treated all petitions alleging misconduct against judicial officers in the country. The Civil Society Network Against Corruption listed about 10 complaints that the NJC did not attend to. The new regulation is a reaction to the exposΓ©.”
Indicating that the new policy may be unconstitutional, Falana said: “Does the NJC not know that every complainant has the fundamental right to freedom of expression which includes the right to impart knowledge and pass information to other people? Can the secretariat not leak information on a petition submitted to the NJC?”
Turning to the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) and its oversight function, Falana queried the performance of the lawyers’ body and its delegates to the NJC, saying: “Before a judge is appointed the bar is required to comment on his/her suitability. To what extent has the bar written genuine reports on candidates? Did the NJC consider the comments? We have 5 representatives in the NJC. What has been their role in the process of appointment?”
Indicating that he could see a silver lining out of the current crisis in the judiciary, the fiery civil rights campaigner said the time has come to democratize the NBA for effectiveness: “We should take advantage of the current crisis to redeem the profession. We need a panel to visit state-by-state, gather evidence and make recommendations. That was what the (Justice Kayode) Eso panel did. The NBA has to be democratized to reflect the interests of the generality of the members.”
Aside from halting judicial officers from accepting gifts from other arms of government, the new judicial policy also bars lobbying of other arms of government by the Judiciary or any of its institutions.
Justifying the new policy direction, the NJP states that “In recent times, there has been much concern by the public about the efficiency, effectiveness and transparency of the judicial system. In particular, there has been waning confidence in the performance of the superior courts in regard to justice delivery.
“Such concerns make it imperative to identify issues and problems militating against a credible justice delivery system that would command the confidence of the citizen.”
The new policy may also not be unconnected with the crisis generated by the recent raids on the residences of some high-ranking judicial officers, including two Supreme Court justices.

π₯A woman's experience with burns ...π₯
Some time ago I was cooking some corn and stuck my fork in the boiling water to see if the corn was ready. I missed and my hand went into the boiling water....!!
A friend of mine, who was a Vietnam vet, came into the house, as I was screaming, & asked me if I had some plain old wheat flour...
I pulled out a bag and he stuck my hand in it. He told me to keep my hand in the flour for 10 minutes.
He said, In Vietnam , there was a guy on fire and in their panic, they threw a bag of flour all over him to put the fire out...Well, it not only put the fire out, but he never even had a blister!!!!
... Long story short, I put my hand in the bag of flour for 10 mins, pulled it out and did not even have a red mark or a blister & absolutely NO PAIN.
Now, I keep a bag of flour in the fridge and every time I burn myself. *Cold flour feels even better than room temperature flour.
I use the wheat flour and have never ever had even a red spot/burn mark, or a blister!
I even burnt my tongue once, put the flour on it for about 10 minutes .... the pain was gone and no burn.
Try it . . . Experience a miracle!
Keep a bag of flour in your fridge and you will be happy you did!
πππππ☺☺☺✌
Flour has heat absorbant property and also is strong antioxident property. Thus helps in burns patient if apllied within 15 minutes.

Don't eat left over onions is poisonous
As frequent onion users we need to know this
ONIONS : PLEASE READ TO THE END: IMPORTANT
In 1919 when the flu killed 40 million people there was this Doctor that visited the many farmers to see if he could help them combat the flu.. Many of the farmers and their family had contracted it and many died.
The doctor came upon this one farmer and to his surprise, everyone was very healthy. When the doctor asked what the farmer was doing that was different the wife replied that she had placed an unpeeled onion in a dish in the rooms of the home, (probably only two rooms back then). The doctor couldn't believe it and asked if he could have one of the onions and place it under the microscope. She gave him one and when he did this, he did find the flu virus in the onion. It obviously absorbed the bacteria, therefore, keeping the family healthy.
Now there is a P. S. to this for I sent it to a friend in Oregon who regularly contributes material to me on health issues. She replied with this most interesting experience about onions:
Thanks for the reminder. I don't know about the farmer's story...but, I do know that I contacted pneumonia, and, needless to say, I was very ill... I came across an article that said to cut both ends off an onion put it into an empty jar, and place the jar next to the sick patient at night. It said the onion would be black in the morning from the germs. ..sure enough it happened just like that...the onion was a mess and I began to feel better.
This is the other note.
Lots of times when we have stomach problems we don't know what to blame. Maybe it's the onions that are to blame. Onions ABSORB BACTERIA is the reason they are so good at preventing us from getting colds and flu and is the very reason we should NOT eat an onion that has been sitting for a time after it has been cut open.
LEFT OVER ONIONS ARE POISONOUS
when food poisoning is reported, the first thing the officials look for is when the 'victim' last ate ONIONS and where those onions came from (in the potato salad?). It's probably the ONIONS, and if not the onions, it's the POTATOES.
onions are a huge magnet for bacteria, especially uncooked onions. You should never plan to keep a portion of a sliced onion.it's not even safe if you put it in a zip-lock bag and put it in your refrigerator.
It's already contaminated enough just by being cut open and out for a bit, that it can be a danger to you (and doubly watch out for those onions you put in your hotdogs at the baseball park!). If you take the leftover onion and cook it like crazy you'll probably be okay, but if you slice that leftover onion and put on your sandwich, you're asking for trouble. Both the onions and the moist potato in a potato salad, will attract and grow bacteria faster than any commercial mayonnaise will even begin to break down.
Also, dogs should never eat onions. Their stomachs cannot metabolize onions.
PLEASE REMEMBER IT IS DANGEROUS TO CUT AN ONION AND TRY TO SAVE IT TO COOK WITH THE NEXT DAY, IT BECOMES HIGHLY POISONOUSFOR EVEN A SINGLE NIGHT - AS IT CREATES TOXIC BACTERIA WHICH CAUSES ADVERSE STOMACH INFECTIONS BECAUSE OF EXCESS BILE SECRETIONS AND EVEN FOOD POISONING.
Please pass this to all the people whom you love and care about.

Food for thought
Copied as received:
Africa is currently experiencing another form of slavery through Pentecostalism. We are now mentally lazy and our ability to reason scientifically has been incapacitated. The write up below gives a vivid reality of the way we think.
COPIED: The Nigerian Pastor won't talk about Usain Bolt or Serena Williams.
They won't talk about late Dora Akunyili or Tony Elumelu.
The Nigerian pastor wont talk about Steve Jobs or the young people in
Silicon Valley reshaping our world.
They won't talk about young American scientists spending endless hours in
search of a cure to a disease that's predominantly in the Tropical African
Region.
The Nigerian pastor won't talk about Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie or Ben Okri.
In every corner of the world, there exist young men and women who have
defied all odds and become successful through hardwork, creativity and
dedication...
The Nigerian pastor wont talk about them......neither will he ask his
members to emulate the spirit of these individuals.
He would rather talk about sister Agatha who got a job she WAS NOT THE MOST
QUALIFIED FOR because she prayed and fasted in line with their church programme.
Or
Brother John who became a millionaire because he used all his salary as a
seed in the church.
Or
Papa Miracle who he laid his hands on and 3 of his children got admission
in the university
Or
Mama Esther paid her tithe and her business started growing everywhere
across the nation......no business plan, just boom, everywhere.
This has led to a new breed of mentally lazy young people who now see God
as a rewarder of mediocrity.
To the Nigeria Pastor,
the only way to prosper is by paying your tithe and sowing seeds in the
church. So they will never talk about those who have through hardwork and
dedication placed themselves on the world map.
No......the Nigeria god only blesses the first 30 people that rush to the
altar to drop N100,000 as seed.
The Nigeria god abhors hardwork and creative thinking, He only gives to
those who sow seeds and offerings......and those who shout "I am a
millionaire" every morning and do nothing the rest of the day.
Continue....
You want God to come down and help you use the talent He gave you and bless
you because you are going to church to shout "Daddy, I receive it"
You all jokers.
Can someone tell these jokers that irrespective of your creed, faith or
religion, blessings and favours follow you once you start using your
talent and become useful to your society.
God doesn't owe you N1!
My own point: Go and read the parable of the talents everyone! Makes sense? Hmmmmnnnn!

Men, don't fail to read this very important, health is wealth
In one of our training sessions,my mentor collected a Nokia torch hand set with fully charged battery. He brought a fresh egg. Then he puts the egg and the handset together and place them into a polythene bag. He tied the bag and told us to call the phone number..... Calling....calling.. ..busy.. busy.
When the battery is drained down, he gave the phone to the owner and cracked the egg.
Behold the egg was cooked!!.. done!!!. We were surprised and asked for the explanation. He told us that every handset emits electromagnetic rays. That it was the rays that was responsible for cooking of that egg. He also said that for device to be named " hand set " by international bodies is not by accident.
He said that it is never a pocket set. He went on to say that males (men) have egg resemblance in between their legs...scrotum. He admonished men to stop putting their hand set in their pockets, but to hold on hand. If you continue to put set in your pocket, the radiation from it will denature your spermatozoa and cook your scrotum . That is why our men will marry 2 to 3 years no Issues. They begin to blame their wife. They will visit men of God for fasting and prayers. God will answer them and reverse the condition, but coming out of the church, they put back the handset in their pockets and continued to denature their sperm and cook their scrotum again.
Before a communication mast is mounted in your property, you will be paid between 10 to 20 million naira as long as you sign a document the network provider gives you. People don't even read the document. Only sign and collect the pay. The document reads in part within the middle ( we are giving you this money to buy land in another place and relocate, because what we are about to mount here is dangerous to your health ) . If you continue to stay there in about 10 to 15 years period, you and others living there will be suffering from one cancer case to the other.
Please guys, don't be putting handset in your pockets. Inform your friends and relatives about the dangers. Ladies inform your brothers, male friends and relatives the same.
By putting sets in your pocket or inside bra Can cause prostrate and breast cancer respectively.
Thanks for giving me the opportunity to discuss a little on one of the burning health issues. Copied as received. #copued
What recession have caused, written by an Elder
*Received from a retired Elder*
"Abuja is probabaly the worst-hit of Nigerian cities by this recession. It is only understandable: Abuja works at nothing but revels in wanton opulence, fed strictly from pens adding zeroes behind a whole number. It's buildings are populated with straw companies gliding on patronage and privilege, not rights, merit and productivity. Most of its inhabitants are currently in what seems a state of disbelief, if not shock. My son and I walked lazily to Sheraton two Saturdays ago and from the gate you got a surprise: no line of traffic! The lounge was empty as the car park was vacant. We sat in surprise at the little corners of decay creeping on the lounge, part of which was even poorly lit. Of course, even Maitama an Asokoro are wrapped in thick darkness these days at 8pm if grid power fails. I was surprised at the black silence I met in these desolate palaces. Everywhere signs hang on homes and high-rise office buildings begging for tenants. I called a number on one and the voice that answered said it was for sale: 3.6billion, seven-story building with a footprint of about 250sqm. "I see".
There is good hiding in evil and sometimes you don't even have to look too deeply to see it. Too many wealth in Nigeria is strictly in figures without any underlying source or feeder spring. If you got your money through work and creativity; if they put you in a desert, you will still replicate the feat. What is called a recession in regular economics is but a dethronement of false money, the overthrow of pretenders and wealth built with the tip of a pen so that reality and productivity can take over. It is an inevitable passage if nature is correctly programmed. In a hilarious circle I was told about a typical Abuja moneybag whose fortune has now turned around. He was in money - and you know what I mean. In In height of his affluence he collected two more wives to make a total of three. But the noose had been getting tighter and, all streams gone dry, he applied for a loan from a bank. Not so well exposed to the hazard of seeking credit from Nigerian banks, he was exceedingly positive he will soon be credited an so went with gusto to the manager's office on an appointed day to get the final answer on his application. When he was told that he had been turned down, he lost control of himself so completely that he pooped on himself right there in the bank. He was helped into the bathroom and offered a ton of tissues and when he had become manageable, they led him into a taxi and gave him a thousand naira to the bank's happy ending of the personal tragedy. The story teaches us that wealth without foundation will end in sudden failure. It is not only Abuja or the typical, overweight Nigerian big man, Nigeria itself is a victim of lazy wealth: oil is not a result of hard work or creativity. We don't even as much as have local capacity to drill the oil! If we don't build our economy by adding value through processing and developing our human resources, we won't end up much better than that poor individual you just laughed at."
My view:
It is time to start building real and sustainable wealth, enough of what used to be...
Know the difference between HTTP and HTTPS
What is the difference between http and https ?
Many of you may be aware of this difference, but it is worth sharing for any that are not.....
The main difference between http:// and https:// is all about keeping you secure
HTTP stands for Hyper Text Transfer Protocol The S (big surprise) stands for "Secure".. If you visit a Website or web page, and look at the address in the web browser, it is likely begin with the following: http:///.
This means that the website is talking to your browser using
the regular unsecured language. In other words, it is possible for someone to "eavesdrop" on your computer's conversation with the Website. If you fill out a form on the website, someone might see the information you send to that site.
This is why you never ever enter your credit card number in an Http website! But if the web address begins with https://, that means your computer is talking to the website in a Secure code that no one can eavesdrop on. You understand why this is so important, right?
If a website ever asks you to enter your Credit/Debit card Information, you should automatically look to see if the web address begins with https://.
If it doesn't, You should NEVER enter sensitive Information such as a credit/debit card number.
PASS IT ON (You may save someone a lot of grief).
Inspirational story.
πA white man walked into a restaurant in London. As soon as he entered, he noticed a black man sitting in the corner.
So he walked over to the counter, removed his wallet and shouted, "Waiter! I am buying food for everyone in this restaurant, except that black guy over there!"
So the waiter collected the money from the man and began serving free food to everyone in the restaurant, except the Black man
However, insteadof becoming upset, the Black man simply looked up at the White man and
shouted, "Thank you!" That infuriated the man. So once again, the White man took out his wallet and shouted, "Waiter! This time I am buying bottles of wine and additional food for everyone in this bar, except for that Black man sitting in the corner over there!" So the waiter collected the money from the man and began serving free food and wine to
everyone in the bar except the Black man
When the waiter finished serving the food and drinks, once again, instead of becoming angry, the Black man simply smiled at the White man and shouted, "Thank you!"
That made the White man furious. So he leaned over on the counter and said to the
waiter, "What is wrong with that Black man? I have bought food and drinks for everyone in this bar except him, but instead of becoming angry, he just sits there and smiles at me and shouts 'Thank you.' Is he
mad???"
The waiter smiled at the White man and said, "No, he is not mad. He is the owner of this
restaurant.

FORWARDED AS RECEIVED!!
My younger brother Dr Justice Arthur, who's a medical officer at Cape Coast hospital ( Bakkano) appealed to me to share this post with you. He says its very important.
Pls do not ignore or delay reading this:
When lights are off at night, one must not view the hand phone! (Smartphone)
Please share with family friends URGENTLY.....
Habitually using hand phones before bedtime in the dark can lead to serious problems.
Recently, an increasing number of 30-40 year-old patients are seeking medical attention due to using hand phones in the dark.
Professor Li Li, director of the Hospital of Ophthalmology SGH Singapore, said: direct glare of >30 minutes would cause irreversible eye macular degeneration that leads to rapid deterioration of vision.
Contracting maculopathy (eye cancer) means waiting for loss of sight because modern medicine cannot treat, let alone cure it.
The bright phone in the dark with close-up view high-energy directed at the eyes will damage the macula of the eye.
Professor Li Li said that symptoms of macular degeneration is mostly experienced by old people, but lately patients are getting younger. Patients who are 30-40 years of age increased by 3 %, most are frequent users of hand phones.
However, viewing the hand phone in the dark not only causes macular degeneration. It initially causes dry eyes, cataracts and eventually loss of sight.
Early lesions of the eye have to be treated with laser or injection of steroids.
254 Hospital eye specialist Professor Li Li suggested that the most important thing is to get rid of the bad habit of using hand phones in the dark. Because habitual use of hand phones in thr dark b4 bedtime may cause a lifetime of harm.
Friends : In order to look after ourselves and our families, remember not to turn off the lights if viewing the hand phone. Inform hand phone users urgently that viewing hand phones in the dark can easily lead to loss of sight!

My father don enter one chance
Sunday Laughter Relief, ,,,,,,MY FATHER DON ENTER ONE-CHANCE:
My Dad joined Facebook last week. That is not the story. Ever since he did, I have been having headache censoring what to post and comment on. That is also not the gist.
The story is that he called me this morning and started complaining to
me.
Saying; “Patrick , this Facebook
registration dey chop money oh”... hmmm “Daddy I no understand… how?” I enthused.
he sighed and said: “Since wey I tell Ada, your sister to register me for Facebook, na
so-so money I dey spend” I became somewhat inquisitive about his meaning of 'spending' to register on Facebook.
“She bin no subscribe for MB before registering you?” he raised eyebrows and said: “ahh which one be MB? I hope say she no go come collect another money for that one? Because I don pay N8,000 for chatting permit, N10,000 for friend request fee, N3,000 for posting fee, N6,000 for profile picture permit and this evening again, your sister don talk say Facebook say make I bring N5,000 for international Facebook passport. Patrick I don tire, na so una dey spend money for This thing?”
Please what should I tell my Dad right now??

Finally, President Buhari orders probe of his Chief Of Staff., Abba Kari.
ABBA KYARI MAY BE ON HIS WAY OUT! - POSSIBLY TO KUJE PRISON!
– Finally, Buhari orders probe of his chief of staff Abba Kyari,
– Presidency directed the Inspector General Idris to investigate the role of chief of staff in N500m MTN scandal.
– Mr Kyari was accused of receiving a bribe from MTN Telecommunications Company to influence the government with the fine put against the company.
President Muhammadu Buhari has reportedly ordered the Special Investigation Panel of the Nigerian Police Force to investigate his chief of staff Alhaji Abba Kyari over bribery accusations.
The Vanguard reports that the investigation might not be unconnected to the supposed N500million bribery money said to have been paid to the Kyari by the officials of South African owned MTN Telecommunications Company with the intent that the chief of staff effect on the incumbent government to discontinue its heavy position on the $5billion fine.
The source, who asked not to be named, said: “Officials of MTN, who were invited and interviewed over the allegation, have vehemently denied that any such money emanated from the telecommunication company and that since the beginning of the $5billion fine saga, nobody had been approached for bribe.
“Another thing is that if such volume of money was paid through the banks, discreet investigation of financial dealings on the part of MTN and on the part of the COS has so far not revealed any transactions of such”.
The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), leveled a $5 billion fine on MTN for failing to disconnect subscribers with unregistered phone lines bought before January 2012.
Sahara Reporters recently published the report claiming that the officials of the telecommunications company gave a bribe of N500million to Abba Kyari, to interfere and use his closeness to the Nigerian leader, to force the government to give MTN a safe landing.
It comes as the telecommunications giant failed to fight the huge fine imposition, initially through the courts and later through diplomatic means.
The presidency apparently worried by the accusation is said to have directed the Inspector General of Police, Ibrahim Idris to probe the allegation and come out with findings regarding the accusation.

Read this beautiful message
ππ *Beautiful Message*. (Pls read)
A rich man looked through his window and saw a poor man picking something from his dustbin ... He said, Thank GOD I'm not poor.
The poor man looked around and saw a naked man misbehaving on the street ... He said, Thank GOD I'm not mad.
The mad man looked ahead and saw an ambulance carrying a patient ... He said, Thank GOD am not sick.
Then a sick person in hospital saw a trolley taking a dead body to the mortuary ... He said, Thank GOD I'm not dead.
Only a dead person cannot thank God.
Why don't you thank GOD today for all your blessings and for the gift of life ... for another beautiful day.
*What is LIFE*?
To understand life better, you have to go to 3 locations :
1. Hospital
2. Prison
3. Cemetery
π₯ At the Hospital, you will understand that nothing is more beautiful than HEALTH.
π In the Prison, you'll see that FREEDOM is the most precious thing.
π At the Cemetery, you will realize that life is worth nothing. The ground that we walk today will be our roof tomorrow.
*Sad Truth* : We all come with *Nothing* and we will go with *Nothing* ... Let us, therefore, remain humble and be thankful & grateful to God at all times for everything.
π Could you please share this with someone else, and let them know that God loves them?

Words can fly, always mind what you say.
Pause: The things we "say" matter
__A record is being kept, somewhere!
I'm sure many of you are following the gripping saga of the American presidential election, as it enters the final stretch. Whether you like America or you don't, you should be interested in what happens in countries like the US. Because of its sheer economic size, it has a material impact on the lives of everyone in the world. That's just economics, not politics.
You know that I generally stay away from commenting on political issues, and this is not going to be a departure from that policy.
Here’s what caught my attention last Sunday morning as I reflected on the events of the last few days, with respect to the US campaign: One of the candidates, Donald Trump, has become engulfed in a massive crisis because of something he said to a friend idly (whilst on a bus 11 years ago) when he thought it was just the two of them. However, what he said was actually picked up on a live microphone.
Increasingly, what often creates controversy is something a candidate "said" at some point. And usually it's been recorded by some technology of our time. All these things -- emails, telephone calls, Twitter, YouTube, SMS, Instagram, the list goes on and there are more coming -- they all capture and record something we "said" (even if it’s written).
Imagine 25-50 years from now (in the lifetime of most of us): The technology will be available to record virtually every spoken by those who run for public office, allowing us to review it before making our choice on a candidate.
And as the technology evolves further, even ordinary people will be subjected to the same tests. I know companies today that will ask a job candidate to give them access to their social media footprint. Yes, they may look at things beyond LinkedIn to learn more about you!
Two thousand years ago, Jesus Christ said these words:
Matthew 12:36-37
But I tell you, on the day of judgment men will have to give account for every idle (inoperative, non-working) word they speak. For by your words you will be justified and acquitted, and by your words you will be condemned and sentenced.
Increasingly, the technology exists to record "every idle word that men speak."
If Donald Trump loses this election, it can be said that he was "condemned by his words." The same for Hillary Clinton; if she loses, it may be said that she lost because of those "damned emails" or things she said in them!
Not to oversimplify an election campaign with lots of issues, or get into politics at all: Whoever or wherever you are, and whatever you do... Your own words can make you, or break you.
As you use Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, never forget these are "your words." Once you click that mouse, it’s gone! (You cannot recall, and you cannot delete). A permanent record exists. One day, that record will either justify you, or condemn you.
Words matter!
We must be careful about the things we say. Even our most idle comments are now a footprint of our character, for the whole world to see and judge.
A few weeks ago, I was having a meeting with a very important potential business partner, and he began by referring to something I’d said against corruption years ago.
"Where did you get that?" I asked, quite surprised. "On YouTube," he replied.
Live your life as though everything you "say" is being recorded somewhere, and you may be called to account for it one day... It's not just a spiritual thing, anymore.
God bless.

Cancer updates by Johns Hopkins, old read and share.
Hello, friends. Someone just sent this educative article to me. Please, do someone a favor by passing it on.
Thank you.
" Johns Hopkins Update
This is an extremely good article.
Everyone should read it.
AFTER YEARS OF TELLING PEOPLE CHEMOTHERAPY IS THE ONLY WAY TO TRY ('TRY', BEING THE KEY WORD) TO ELIMINATE CANCER, JOHNS HOPKINS IS FINALLY STARTING TO TELL YOU THERE IS AN ALTERNATIVE WAY ..
Cancer Update from Johns Hopkins:
1. Every person has cancer cells in the body.. These cancer cells do not show up in the standard tests until they have multiplied to a few billion. When doctors tell cancer patients that there are no more cancer cells in their bodies after treatment, it just means the tests are unable to detect the cancer cells because they have not reached the detectable size.
2. Cancer cells occur between 6 to more than 10 times in a
person's lifetime.
3. When the person's immune system is strong the cancer
cells will be destroyed and prevented from multiplying and forming tumors.
4. When a person has cancer it indicates the person has
nutritional deficiencies. These could be due to genetic,
but also to environmental, food and lifestyle factors.
5. To overcome the multiple nutritional deficiencies, changing diet to eat more adequately and healthy, 4-5 times/day and by including supplements will strengthen the immune system.
6. Chemotherapy involves poisoning the rapidly-growing
cancer cells and also destroys rapidly-growing healthy cells in the bone marrow, gastrointestinal tract etc., and can cause organ damage, like liver, kidneys, heart, lungs etc.
7. Radiation while destroying cancer cells also burns, scars and damages healthy cells, tissues and organs.
8. Initial treatment with chemotherapy and radiation will often reduce tumor size.
However prolonged use of chemotherapy and radiation do not result in more tumor destruction.
9.. When the body has too much toxic burden from
chemotherapy and radiation the immune system is either
compromised or destroyed, hence the person can succumb to various kinds of infections and complications.
10. Chemotherapy and radiation can cause cancer cells to mutate and become resistant and difficult to destroy. Surgery can also cause cancer cells to spread to other sites.
11. An effective way to battle cancer is to starve the cancer
cells by not feeding it with the foods it needs to multiply.
*CANCER CELLS FEED ON:
a. Sugar substitutes like NutraSweet, Equal, Spoonful, etc. are made with Aspartame and it is harmful. A better natural substitute would be Manuka honey or molasses, but only in very small amounts. Table salt has a chemical added to make it white in color Better alternative is Bragg's aminos or sea salt.
b. Milk causes the body to produce mucus, especially in the gastro-intestinal tract. Cancer feeds on mucus.. By cutting off milk and substituting with unsweetened soy milk cancer cells are being starved.
c. Cancer cells thrive in an acid environment. A meat-based diet is acidic. Meat also contains livestock antibiotics, growth hormones and parasites, which are all harmful, especially to people with cancer.
d.. A diet made of 80% fresh vegetables and juice, whole
grains, seeds, nuts and a little fruits help put the body into
an alkaline environment. About 20% can be from cooked food including beans. Fresh vegetable juices provide live enzymes that are easily absorbed and reach down to cellular levels within 15 minutes to nourish and enhance growth of healthy cells. To obtain live enzymes for building healthy cells try and drink fresh vegetable juice (most vegetables including bean sprouts) and eat some raw vegetables 2 or 3 times a day. Enzymes are destroyed at
temperatures of 104 degrees F (40 degrees C)..
e. Avoid coffee, tea, and chocolate, which have high
caffeine Green tea is a better alternative and has cancer
fighting properties. Water-best to drink purified water, or
filtered, to avoid known toxins and heavy metals in tap
water. Distilled water is acidic, avoid it.
12. Meat protein is difficult to digest and requires a lot of
digestive enzymes. Undigested meat remaining in the intestines becomes putrefied and leads to more toxic buildup.
13.. Cancer cell walls have a tough protein covering. By
refraining from meat it frees more enzymes to attack the protein walls of cancer cells and allows the
body's killer cells to destroy the cancer cells.
14. Some supplements build up the immune system
(IP6, Flor-ssence, Essiac, anti-oxidants, vitamins, minerals,
EFAs etc.) to enable the body's own killer cells to destroy cancer cells.. Other supplements like vitamin E are known to cause apoptosis, or programmed cell death, the body's normal method of disposing of damaged, unwanted, or unneeded cells.
15. Cancer is a disease of the mind, body, and spirit.
A proactive and positive spirit will help the cancer warrior
be a survivor. Anger, unforgiveness and bitterness put the body into a stressful and acidic environment. Learn to have a loving and forgiving spirit. Learn to relax and enjoy life.
16. Cancer cells cannot thrive in an oxygenated
environment. Exercising daily, and deep breathing help to
get more oxygen down to the cellular level. Oxygen therapy is another means employed to destroy cancer cells.
This is an article that should be sent to anyone important in your life...

Good morning.
How a woman was abducted, killed and buried. Wonders shall never end.
Woman Abducted, Killed, Buried by Driver & 3 Others
‘SHE was really nice to me. She did not owe me any salary. She even went to my village one time and gave my father money. I have been driving her for the past five years. She was really a good woman, yet we kidnapped her and she died. And I was given N200, 000 out of the ransom money collected, although N1,000 was missing from one of the bundles.”
This was part of the testimony of 27-year-old Ali Angba, a driver, reeling out his relationship with his deceased boss, Dr. (Mrs.) Edith Chinedu Aliyu, before now the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of Grants Micro Finance Bank and Proprietress of Chelson Group of Schools, all in Gwagwalada suburb of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
Dr. Aliyu was allegedly kidnapped in her house by the trio of Maxwell Ajukwu, 41, Solomon Amodu, 32, a 400-level Geography undergraduate at the University of Abuja, a Kogi State indigene and one Douglas, simply referred to as Dougy, who is on the run.
They strangled the woman when she recognized one of her assailants as her driver’s friend and buried her in a bush after Yangoji village, along Kwali-Lokoja Expressway, just two hours after kidnapping her. But they came back four days after the murder and collected a ransom of N5 million from the family, supposedly to secure her release.
Parading the suspects Wednesday at the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Command of the State Security Service (SSS), Assistant Director Operations, Ibrahim Halilu said the victim’s driver, Ali Angba, who confessed to the crimes, connived with the others to kidnap the victim on June 29 at her residence in Gwagwalada.
Halilu explained: “On June 30, the kidnappers contacted her relations and demanded N5 million ransom for her release. On July 6, the sum of N2 million converted to $11, 550 was dropped for the kidnappers around Obajana Road, Lokoja, Kogi State by the relations without informing the security operatives, out of which the trio of Ajukwu, Dougy and the financier, Jacobs received N500, 000 each while Ali the driver was supposed to received N200,000 but like he said “N1,000 was short from the bundle”. Amodu was not given anything yet.”
Ajukwu, a graduate of Economics from the University of Nigeria Nsukka, also said to be a writer, in his confession said they kidnapped the victim from her house in Gwagwalada, a few minutes to midnight and took her to a hideout, but in the course of trying to tie her down, she recognized him, because he had on one occasion come to the victim’s house to see his friend, Ali, the driver.
“She recognized me, she did not know me well. It is only that the driver took me to the house two days before the event. He took me there as a spy to know the environment.”
“We kidnapped her, but we never had the intention of killing her because the driver said we should just kidnap her. She slumped on the way to where we were taking her. The driver said there was no need keeping her. Since she had seen our faces, it was better for her to go, instead of coming back to see him again.”
“Douglas, the person who killed her, is not here. We dug the grave, Solomon and I. Douglas is at large, we are looking for him now,” he said.
Amodu, who drove the kidnapped and murdered victim to their hideout, said: “When we went there and picked up the woman, as we were going on the way around the check-point, we removed our masks. The woman saw Maxwell’s face and said ‘this is the man that Ali brought to my house.’ She called him Isah, because that is the name she used to call him.”
Explaining further, Amodu said: “As she saw this man’s face, she was shocked and slumped. They asked me to negotiate and look for somewhere, off the road and park on an untarred road, off the highway.”
“Maxwell then called Ali to tell him what happened. “The woman has seen my face and she shouted your name, and has even slumped already.” So Ali gave the go-ahead for the woman to be killed. Dougy asked me to tie her hand, then Dougy strangled her, that was how she finally died,” Amodu said non-chalantly.
Though Ali admitted to being the insider man who collaborated closely with the kidnappers, he denied giving the order for life to be snuffed out of his boss.
This entire project was sponsored by 39-year- old Sunday Jacobs, who said he owns a tailoring business in Gwagwalada. He admitted to contacting Maxwel Ajukwu, a teacher in a private school in Gwagwalada, to carry out the job of kidnapping Mrs. Aliyu, after Ali, her driver, told them his madam had money and suggested they could kidnap her to get some of it.
A female relative of the victim, who craved anonymity, told reporters that the relations paid a total of N5 million ransoms in two batches to the kidnappers.
“But the request for more money kept coming from the kidnappers and it was Ali, the driver, that was taking us to the drop points every time and was bringing word from the kidnappers.”
She said they decided to involve security agents when the kidnappers refused the family’s request to hear the victim’s voice over the telephone as proof that she was still alive.
“After collecting the initial money, they kept demanding for more, saying, ‘the N5 million so far given was just beer money,’ so the family was in a dilemma of seeking for more funds. It was then that the security agents moved in and arrested the abductor (Ajukwu) who called out the other people,” she said.
The deceased’s body was yesterday exhumed for proper burial by the SSS in the company of her relatives.

Is illegal to see any policeman checking vehicle particulars said by AIG
Any Policeman Checking Vehicle Particulars Is On Illegal Duty – AIG
Mr Dan Bature, an Assistant Inspector-General (AIG) of Police in Charge of Zone 11 comprising Oyo, Osun and Ondo states, says any policeman checking vehicle particulars on the highways is on illegal duty.
Bature said this on Wednesday in Ibadan during a two-day familiarisation visit to Oyo State.
He said that the duty of the police was not to check vehicle particulars but to ensure safer roads.
Bature warned policemen against blocking high ways, saying police patrol vehicles were not supposed to be toll gates.
He said the Inspector General of Police (IGP) was committed to changing the negative image of the police and supporting the anticorruption war of the Federal Government.
Bature advised officers unable to key into the laudable initiatives of the IGP to resign from the force.
He said that a lot was expected by the public from the police, adding that this informed the monitoring of officers.
“The Inspector General of Police is determined to improve on your welfare and pursue the increment of your salary.
“But this can only be achieved when the people have good perception about the police, “Bature said.
Earlier, Sam Adegbuyi, the Oyo State Commissioner of Police, said that the officers were dedicated and patriotic.
Adegbuyi said that in view of the population of Oyo State, the command needed to create three more Area Commands in addition to the existing four commands.
He commended the AIG, Oyo government and the Police Community Relation Committee for the successes recorded so far in the fight against crime.
