African Models converge IN owerri
AFRICAN MODELS CONVERGE IN OWERRI FOR AMA AWARDS
Models from all over Africa will be celebrated and appreciated to the finest at the Africa Modeling Ambassadors’ (AMA) Awards scheduled to take place at Imo International Convention Centre, Owerri, Imo State on 2nd December 2016.
Organized in collaboration with the Imo State government, the event is a unique one, with a vision and platform to bring together models from all over Africa and equally provide an opportunity for them to showcase their talent, thereby boosting their financial capacity.
Founder and President of AMA, Prince Roland Chukwu said modeling has always been a glamorous sector that boosts brand visibility and promotion. He also noted that the industry provides a platform for creative fashion designers, advertiser, and marketers to display their arts, brands and products.
AMA has four platforms through which it has been achieving her visions since its establishment in 2013. The platforms include Africa Modeling Ambassadors’ Awards (AMA Awards), Africa Modeling Ambassadors Magazine (AMA Magazine), Miss AMA Awards Beauty Pageant, and a consultancy outfit called AMA Models.
Chukwu explained further that AMA is an organization founded with a unique vision of creating an umbrella that will give models in Africa one voice, and to define modeling to Africa and the whole world, better than what the common man merely assumes it to be.
“That why the motto of the organization is: ‘Celebrating Africa models’. Under this umbrella, we try to unify models from different sectors of life, ranging from the conventional models, to sports models, musicians, actors/actresses, comedians, politicians etc. Also we use the event as a platform to appreciate outstanding men and women who are society models, ambassadors, innovators and achievers in sectors like business, politics, technology and many more,” he said.
