MATTERS OF INTEREST In the past few days a number of Nigerians, male and female have dropped dead here in Atlanta. Similarly such is the case in Houston, Dallas, New York and many other cities in the US. The truth is that the Nigerian community in the US is getting older. The question is how prepared are we when faced with issues of sudden deaths in the American Nigerian families. Do we have necessary LIFE INSURANCE, DISABILITY INSURANCE, INVESTMENT PORTFOLIOS to protect our families. The MATTER OF INTEREST TO US AS LAWYERS is What professional group is the worst in having a WILL? 1. PHYSICIANS 2. ACCOUNTANTS 3. ENGINEERS 4. PROFESSORS 5. LAWYERS 6. PHARMACISTS 7. NURSES Yes the answer is us. Lawyers. Lawyers are the worst offenders in having WILLS. We are quick to write the WILLS for our clients but reluctant to write WILLS for ourselves and our families.
