Katie Hopkins Tells A Church Conference That She’s The ‘New Jesus’

Just when you thought Katie Hopkins had run out of shocking things to say, she’s gone and told a church conference that she’s the ‘new Jesus’.
The self-confessed Holy being was speaking before an audience of clergy, Church of England officials, and workers and volunteers in Christian charities and campaigning organisations (including bishops and vicars) during the Church and Media Conference in London.
According to The Guardian, she declared: “I’m Jesus of the outspoken. Jesus had his followers; I have 600,000 followers on Twitter. It’s about leading the way – I am the new Jesus.”
Oh GAHD.

It’s bad news if you were thinking Katie might repent her sins and apologise for her words anytime soon though, as she added: “I have never apologised for anything I’ve said.
“I find it very disappointing when people apologise. You should have the positive moral attitude to stand by what you say.”

Katie came under particular fire earlier this year when she referred to refugees who are risking their lives and crossing oceans to flee devastation and war in their countries as ‘cockroaches’.
A statement she, unsurprisingly, isn’t about to apologise for as she reckons she’s ‘pushing back the walls closing in on freedom of speech’.
She added that she had ‘no regrets’ about using the term ‘cockroaches,’ claiming she was referring to survival instincts.

During her talk, Katie explained that she feels like a positive role model for young women, although she admits there’s a large percentage of people who aren’t exactly fans of her.

She said: “Lots of young girls, women, ladies find it reaffirming that there’s someone with a strong view. But I accept there’s another 50% who hate my guts.”
There’s good news if you want some more pearls of wisdom from Katie too, who revealed that she may be producing a Christmas book titled ‘The Bible According to Katie Hopkins’.
