Inspector General of Police (IGP), Solomon Arase, yesterday announced the arrest of masterminds of the bomb blast in Kuje and Nyanaya, on October, 2 – Abdulazeez Muhazab, 27, and Isiaka Salihu, 25, both natives of Okene, Kogi State.
 According to the IGP, the arrests foiled another attempt by terrorists to undertake another attack on the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
 Arase, who spoke during a meeting with strategic police managers at the Force Headquarters in Abuja, said the police special team that arrested the suspects at their hideout, recovered 12 already prepared Prime Home Made Explosive (HME), concealed in 12 soft drinks can, 28 pieces of electric detonators and huge quantities of IED-making materials.
 The IGP, while noting that the suspects were making useful confessional statement that would help police in its investigation and arrest of other members of the terrorists group, assured Nigerians of the determination of the police to ensure public safety.
 The IGP also spoke on the successes recorded in the investigation of the kidnapping of Chief Olu Falae, revealing that five out of the eight persons who participated in the crime, have been arrested and N823, 999, recovered from them.
 He gave names of those arrested as Abubakar Auta, Idris Lawan, Umar Ibrahim, Mudashiru Muhammed and Bello Tanu, adding that they were arrested at their hideouts at Ekiti, Ondo and Niger states respectively.
 He said the suspects who operate a statewide kidnap ring were arrested at their hideouts in Niger, Ekiti and Ondo states.
 He said the suspects have already been taken to Akure where the crime took place and would appear in court today.
 A police source said the suspects confessed to have relocated from Sambisa forests which is currently been bombarded by the military who are on an offensive operations in the area.
