◾I’ve nothing to say- Chukwu
From Fred Itua, Abuja
FEW weeks after John Obinna Chukwu was fired as Permanent Secretary of Federal Capital Territory (FCT), alongside 16 others, Daily Sun investigations revealed that Chukwu is among eight permanent secretaries being investigated by the Independent Corrupt Practices and other Related Offences Commission (ICPC).
The anti-graft agency had earlier carried out a discreet investigation, following the disclosure of an account of one of the permanent secretaries which had about N292 million lodgements within a period of five months.
Daily Sun gathered that Chukwu may soon be quizzed on his involvement on some missing funds during the tenure of Senator Bala Mohammed as minister of the Federal Capital Territory Administration ( FCTA).
Besides the alleged missing funds, the anti-graft agency may also quizzed Chukwu on some land matters.
When Daily Sun contacted Chukwu for comments, he said: “I do not have any comment to make regarding this issue.”
