Nigeria’s senior national team, the Super Eagles, have been advised to work assiduously towards defeating Sihlangu Semnikati, of Swaziland in Lobamba on Friday to brighten their chance of clinching the 2018 World Cup ticket.
In a press statement issued on Thursday in Lagos, Globacom advised the Super Eagles to be prepared for a tough encounter as there are no minnows in African football again, adding that the Swaziland team will be battle-ready, having recently trashed Djibouti by eight goals to one in the preliminary round.
“It is going to be a crucial encounter in which the Eagles must emerge victorious to advance to the league stage,” the statement added.
Globacom commended the rebuilding process so far undertaken by the Sunday Oliseh-led technical crew with the aim of not only getting the players in shape but also assembling the best 11 capable of making Nigeria proud.
While advising the technical crew to go for the fittest and focused players who can withstand the pressure associated with away matches of this magnitude, the telecommunication company urged the entire team to give their best and ensure that they emerge victorious in the encounter to make the second leg in Port Harcourt less cumbersome.
