Saharareporters.
Wife of Nigeria’s Central Bank Governor, Emefiele, Kidnapped
SaharaReporters has learned that a group of heavily armed kidnappers yesterday abducted Margaret Emefiele, the wife of Nigeria’s Central Bank Governor, Godwin Emefiele. A source close to Mr. Emefiele told our correspondent that Mrs. Emefiele was kidnapped along the Benin-Agbor Road. Our source disclosed that the kidnappers have made contact with their victim’s husband, adding that they were demanding a huge sum in ransom. Mrs. Emefiele’s kidnap represents one of the most high-profile kidnap cases in 2016.
True life story that touches the heart, we should be careful about the people we bring nearer..
On a Tragic note,I wish to share wit all of you another Eye-Opener in order to be more careful against a possible occurrence (May God Forbid)...My Frnd & Brother Sadiq Mallami,a staff of Access Bank Gombe Branch lost his only children Hassana & Hussaina, very lovely cute kids ! On D 26th of July,A helpless looking mother of Two decently dressed knocked D Flat 2 Apartment of Kerawa Estate where Sadiq lives with his family alongside her 2 grown up girls believed to be between D ages of 16 & 18 crying & asking for help even if one of her daughters would work for free as long as she'll feed,it will reduce their suffering, after a lengthy talk on the spot,Sadiq's wife decided to employ her on #12,000 monthly salary,She (sadiqs wife) became a bit disturbed when she said they can go,tidy up,Bring her belongings & resume the next day,The mother said there was no need b/cos Jamila has nothing....To cut story short,Jamila kidnapped the kids last friday the 23rd & called wit her accomplice (Another Woman) Demanding JUST 300,000 (Three Hundred Thousand naira) which Sadiq instantly agreed to pay & even more at D first phone call, immediately after that offer & acceptance call,Jamila switched off & switched on just on Tuesday night (Two days ago),She called again & it became obvious that they really wanted the money but lack a single idea on how to collect it,Sadiq now made all the suggestions possible on how to safely get the money across to them but he noticed they became Very scared of their act & again switched off till this moment,Sadiq noticed the voice of the woman he spoke with as same with Jamila's mother whom he met on the first day....Painfully,The Bodies of those innocent girls were found at about 9pm yesterday in an LEA primary school outskirts Gombe & they were taken to the nearest police facility & the family were contacted,There was no single blood stain or injury on their body,They were either poisoned or suffocated...May God expose those evil women & Guide us all: Bashar Hamman.
Hon.. Abdlmumin Jibrin opens can of worms, read.
HON. ABDULMUMIN JIBRIN OPENS CAN OF WORMS: MEMBERS RECEIVE N10 MILLION MONTHLY
Philips Sun 18:37:00

Hon. Abdulmumin Jibrin.
Suspended House Member, Hon. Abdulmumin Jibrin, representing APC- Kano Kiru-Bebeji Constituency, has given Presiding and Principal Officers 7 days "to make public the total amount they have received as running cost in their entire stay in the House, failure of which I will proceed with necessary legal action to compel them to make the total amount".
The former House of Representatives Chairman on Appropriation, gave this ultimatum in a letter titled: " BURDEN OF PROOF OF EVIDENCE: RUNNING COST OF HONOURABLE MEMBERS OF THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES" and exclusively sent to Sulai Aledeh's Blog by Mr. Jibrin.
Mr. Jibrin who was suspended for 180 legislative days on Tuesday, directed the letter to all members of the House of Representatives.
Read the letter below.....................................
TO ALL HONOURABLE MEMBERS
HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES
NATIONAL ASSEMBLY
ABUJA
My dear Colleagues,
BURDEN OF PROOF OF EVIDENCE: RUNNING COST OF HONOURABLE MEMBERS OF THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES
I wish to draw your attention to the fact that since you suspended me yesterday and the suggestion of the Ethics Committee report that my allegations were generalized and without proof, I have come under intense public scrutiny and pressure to prove that there exists systemic corruption in the House. I have taken it as a responsibility to prove to the public that the House is a den of systemic corruption. As colleagues, I have bound with many of you and built a life long friendship.
I have some of you that I hold in high esteem. If you end up at the receiving end of the actions I will be taking up in the next few days, I want you to know there is nothing personal but commitment and fervent desire to ensure that corruption is wiped out of the House and reforms that will restore the battered image of the House and take back the House to the Nigerian people is implemented.
Consequent upon the above and before I proceed with the aggressive steps I intend to take, I hereby DEMAND that if you have illegally taken or stolen any money meant for the RUNNING COST OF YOUR OFFICES FOR YOUR ENTIRE STAY IN THE HOUSE, YOU SHOULD RETURN THE MONEY WITHIN ONE WEEK TO THE CLERK OF THE NATIONAL ASSEMBLY AND FOR THE PURPOSE OF CLARITY, I AM REFERRING TO ABOUT 10MILLION NAIRA YOU COLLECT FROM TAX PAYERS' MONEY MONTHLY. THE CLERK WILL PROVIDE YOU WITH OFFICIAL ACCOUNT DETAILS, FAILURE OF WHICH I WILL TAKE NECESSARY ACTION TO ENSURE THAT YOU RETURN ANY MONEY STOLEN AND STAND WITNESS AGAINST YOU IN CASE OF PROSECUTION.
I have written to the Clerk of the National Assembly to stand by in anticipation. In the face of the revenue challenges and biting hardship the country is currently facing, there is no better time the country needs such money than now.
In the case of the Presiding and Principal Officers, in addition to my demand in this letter which applies to them too, I have written them yesterday and gave them 72 hours ULTIMATUM to make public the total amount they have received as running cost in their entire stay in the House, failure of which I will proceed with necessary legal action to compel them to make the total amount each of them have received public.
There are other issues of monumental corruption in the House that I will be raising in the following weeks which we must all deal with, but first lets get done with this one.
Thank you.
God bless.

Inspirational words.
When you see a man selling handkerchiefs and still sweating profusely in traffic, it tells you that possession is not the same as ownership! Your life belongs to God; you are only having it but you don't own it. So, be careful what you do with your life before the owner asks for it.
The last wishes of Alexander the Great.........
On his death bed, Alexander summoned his army generals and told them his three ultimate wishes:
1. The best doctors should carry his coffin ...
2. The wealth he has accumulated (money, gold, precious stones) should be scattered along the procession to the cemetery ...
3. His hands should be let loose, so they hang outside the coffin for all to see !!
One of his generals who was surprised by these unusual requests asked Alexander to explain .
Here is what Alexander the Great had to say :
1. "I want the best doctors to carry my coffin to demonstrate that in the face of death , even the best doctors in the world have no power to heal .."
2. "I want the road to be covered with my treasure so that everybody sees that material wealth acquired on earth , will stay on earth.."
3. I want my hands to swing in the wind, so that people understand that we come to this world empty handed and we leave this world empty handed after the most precious treasure of all is exhausted, and that is : TIME.
We do not take to our grave any material wealth. TIME is our most precious treasure because it is LIMITED. We can produce more wealth, but we cannot produce more time.
When we give someone our time, we actually give a portion of our life that we will never take back . Our time is our life !.
The best present that you can give to your family is your TIME and to God is your LIFE..

Once a lawyer was travelling by train in A/c class. He was traveling alone!
Some time later, a Beautiful lady came and sat down on the berth opposite to him.
Lawyer was pleasantly Happy! The lady kept smiling at him! This made him even more Happy!
She got up and sat next to him! Lawyer was now bubbling with Joy!
She then leant towards him and whispered in his ear, "Hand over all your valuables, cash, cards, mobile phone to me else I will shout and tell everybody that you are harassing and misbehaving with me."
Lawyer stared blankly at her! He took out a paper and a pen from his bag and wrote: "I can not hear or speak. You write on this paper whatever you want to say."
The lady wrote everything what she said earlier and gave it to him! He took her note, kept it in his pocket!
He got up and told her in clear tones... "Now shout & scream!!"

When they finished enjoying their meal he shouted another order " Give me a bottle of brandy (mellow wood) and give everybody else a bottle of whiskey (Johnny walker black label) because when I drink I want everybody to drink." Everyone was happy and singing James' praises saying "He is the man".
When James finished his drink he shouted again " Give me my bill and give everyone else their own bill because when I pay for my meals and drinks, I want everyone else to pay for theirs."
His burial is this Saturday. He was beaten to death.

After Secondary School...
Some of your classmates have gone out of the country, some are now graduates, some has gotten married, some has given birth, some are dead don't forget that too, some haven't even gained admission into the tertiary institution, but you know that feeling when you meet your classmate, and it seems like he/she has reached his dreams and you're not yet close to yours?
Yea, somehow feels like jealousy, its a normal feeling. But, You must not regret your life. We all are different and our path to greatness is not same in distance. Some might reach before you, some might reach after you but whatever level you are presently, please keep trying to break limitations and move further. Celebrate the success of others, it's an application for yours. Your friend buys a car now, be happy with him/her. Remember when you get yours, theirs wouldn't be the latest again. Life is not by competition, if not we all Will be born into one type of family, one religion and same everything. The passion in you, never quench. The desire in you, keep it burning. what you pass through, write it down because one day the world will be ready to read it.
There's no height you cannot attain, just believe, define goals and recognize distractions, spend time teaching yourself, because the things that mainly take people to the top, is the things they devoted time to develop. Don't be intimidated by your fellow's success, the sky is too wide that the birds can fly without touching themselves.

Change begins with me : FG accused the economist of Racism, Prejudice
“CHANGE BEGINS WITH ME”: FG ACCUSES “THE ECONOMIST” OF RACISM, PREJUDICE.
ON September 28, 20169:32 PM/IN News /
Comments
Abuja – The Federal Government has accused “The Economist” newspaper of racism, prejudice and denigration of Nigeria’s genuine effort at national re-orientation. The Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, made the accusation in a statement he issued on Wednesday in Abuja.
The statement is in response to a publication by the weekly magazine on “Change Begins With Me” campaign. The minister said: “Our attention has been drawn to a story by The Economist, datelined Lagos and featured in the paper’s print edition of Sept. 24, 2016 entitled: ”Nigeria’s war against indiscipline, Behave or be whipped’’.
Contrary to the newspaper’s self-professed belief in ”plain language”, the article in question, from the headline to the body, is a master-piece of embellishment or dressed-up language”. “It is loaded with innuendos and decidedly pejorative at best and downright racist at worst.’’
The minister faulted the conclusion in the publication that President Muhammadu Buhari wanted to ”tame” Nigerians with the ”Change Begins With Me” Campaign.
“For those who are the owners of the English language, the use of that word is unpardonable. “The verb ”tame” suggests that Nigerians are some kind of wild animals that must be domesticated, and the usage reveals the mindset of the authors of the article. “It is a deliberate put-down of a whole people under the guise of criticising a government policy,’’ he said.
Mohammed said the author was wrong in insinuating that some 150,000 volunteers were being trained as enforcers of the ”Change Begins With Me” Campaign.
He said the president, while launching the campaign, made it clear that “moral suasion, the very antithesis of force, will be employed to achieve attitudinal change among Nigerians’’.
He said the President never said that ”moral police would be unleashed’’as reported by the newspaper. “In writing the story, the paper did not even deem it necessary to speak with any official of the government, thus breaching one of the codes of journalism, which is fairness,’’ he said.
The minister clarified that the campaign was launched to ‘”help restore our value system and rekindle our nationalistic fervour’’.
He added that the campaign was not designed to shift any responsibility to Nigerians, as many had erroneously said but an all-inclusive campaign designed to start with the leadership.
“Change Begins With Me” was designed to start from the President, then trickle down to the Vice President, ministers, other top government officials and to all citizens.
“The campaign is asking Nigerians to be the change they want to see in the society; for example, the motorists among us must obey traffic rules, our aggrieved youth must stop destroying public property,
“Patent medicine sellers must stop selling fake drugs; commercial vehicle drivers must stop taking alcoholic beverages before driving. “There is nothing extraordinary or over-burdening in all these,’’ he said.
The minister noted that many countries in the world, at some points, had also embarked on the kind of campaign that Nigeria launched. He said that it was uncharitable for newspaper “to hide behind the facade of its own prejudice to denigrate Nigeria’s genuine effort at national re-orientation.’’

11health benefits of ginger
1 1Proven Health Benefits of Ginger

Woman Holding Fresh GingerGinger is among the healthiest (and most delicious) spices on the planet.
It is loaded with nutrients and bioactive compounds that have powerful benefits for your body and brain.
Here are 11 health benefits of ginger that are supported by scientific research.
1. Ginger Contains Gingerol, a Substance With Powerful Medicinal Properties
Ginger is a flowering plant that originated from China.
It belongs to the Zingiberaceae family, and is closely related to turmeric, cardomon and galangal.
The rhizome (underground part of the stem) is the part commonly used as a spice. It is often called ginger root, or simply ginger.
Ginger has a very long history of use in various forms of traditional/alternative medicine. It has been used to help digestion, reduce nausea and help fight the flu and common cold, to name a few.
This is what ground, fresh and sliced ginger looks like:
Fresh, Sliced and Ground Ginger
Ginger can be used fresh, dried, powdered, or as an oil or juice, and is sometimes added to processed foods and cosmetics. It is a very common ingredient in recipes.
The unique fragrance and flavor of ginger come from its natural oils, the most important of which is gingerol.
Gingerol is the main bioactive compound in ginger, responsible for much of its medicinal properties. It has powerful anti-inflammatory and antioxidant effects (1).

Bottom Line: Ginger is a popular spice. It is high in gingerol, a substance with powerful anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties.
2. Ginger Can Treat Many Forms of Nausea, Especially Morning Sickness
Fresh Ginger
Ginger appears to be highly effective against nausea (2).
For example, it has a long history of use as a sea sickness remedy, and there is some evidence that it may be as effective as prescription medication (3).
Ginger may also relieve nausea and vomiting after surgery, and in cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy (4, 5).
But it may be the most effective when it comes to pregnancy-related nausea, such as morning sickness.
According to a review of 12 studies that included a total of 1,278 pregnant women, 1.1-1.5 grams of ginger can significantly reduce symptoms of nausea (6).
However, ginger had no effect on vomiting episodes in this study.
Although ginger is considered safe, talk to your doctor before taking large amounts if you are pregnant. Some believe that large amounts can raise the risk of miscarriage, but there are currently no studies to support this.
Bottom Line: 1-1.5 grams of ginger can help prevent various types of nausea. This applies to sea sickness, chemotherapy-related nausea, nausea after surgery and morning sickness.
3. Ginger May Reduce Muscle Pain and Soreness
Dumbbells
Ginger has been shown to be effective against exercise-induced muscle pain.
In one study, consuming 2 grams of ginger per day, for 11 days, significantly reduced muscle pain in people performing elbow exercises (7).
Ginger does not have an immediate impact, but may be effective at reducing the day-to-day progression of muscle pain (8).
These effects are believed to be mediated by the anti-inflammatory properties.
Bottom Line: Ginger appears to be effective at reducing the day-to-day progression of muscle pain, and may reduce exercise-induced muscle soreness.
4. The Anti-Inflammatory Effects Can Help With Osteoarthritis
Fresh and Sliced Ginger
Osteoarthritis is a common health problem.
It involves degeneration of the joints in the body, leading to symptoms like joint pain and stiffness.
In a controlled trial of 247 people with osteoarthritis of the knee, those who took ginger extract had less pain and required less pain medication (9).
Another study found that a combination of ginger, mastic, cinnamon and sesame oil, can reduce pain and stiffness in osteoarthritis patients when applied topically (10).

Bottom Line: There are some studies showing ginger to be effective at reducing symptoms of osteoarthritis, which is a very common health problem.
5. Ginger May Drastically Lower Blood Sugars and Improve Heart Disease Risk Factors
This area of research is relatively new, but ginger may have powerful anti-diabetic properties.
In a recent 2015 study of 41 participants with type 2 diabetes, 2 grams of ginger powder per day lowered fasting blood sugar by 12% (11).
It also dramatically improved HbA1c (a marker for long-term blood sugar levels), leading to a 10% reduction over a period of 12 weeks.
There was also a 28% reduction in the ApoB/ApoA-I ratio, and a 23% reduction in markers for oxidized lipoproteins. These are both major risk factors for heart disease.
This graph shows what happened:
Khandouzi, et al - 2015Photo Source: Suppversity.
However, keep in mind that this was just one small study. The results are incredibly impressive, but they need to be confirmed in larger studies before any recommendations can be made.
Bottom Line: Ginger has been shown to lower blood sugar levels and improve various heart disease risk factors in patients with type 2 diabetes.
6. Ginger Can Help Treat Chronic Indigestion
Pile of Ground Ginger
Chronic indigestion (dyspepsia) is characterized by recurrent pain and discomfort in the upper part of the stomach.
It is believed that delayed emptying of the stomach is a major driver of indigestion.
Interestingly, ginger has been shown to speed up emptying of the stomach in people with this condition.
After eating soup, ginger reduced the time it took for the stomach to empty from 16 to 12 minutes (12).
In a study of 24 healthy individuals, 1.2 grams of ginger powder before a meal accelerated emptying of the stomach by 50% (13).
Bottom Line: Ginger appears to speed up emptying of the stomach, which can be beneficial for people with indigestion and related stomach discomfort.
7. Ginger Powder May Significantly Reduce Menstrual Pain
Menstrual pain (dysmenorrhea) refers to pain felt during a woman’s menstrual cycle.
Young Woman With Bloated Stomach
One of the traditional uses of ginger is for pain relief, including menstrual pain.
In one study, 150 women were instructed to take 1 gram of ginger powder per day, for the first 3 days of the menstrual period (14).
Ginger managed to reduce pain as effectively as the drugs mefenamic acid and ibuprofen.
Bottom Line: Ginger appears to be very effective against menstrual pain when taken at the beginning of the menstrual period.
8. Ginger May Lower Cholesterol Levels
Heart and Stethoscope
High levels of LDL lipoproteins (the “bad” cholesterol) are linked to an increased risk of heart disease.
The foods you eat can have a strong influence on LDL levels.
In a 45-day study of 85 individuals with high cholesterol, 3 grams of ginger powder caused significant reductions in most cholesterol markers (15).
This is supported by a study in hypothyroid rats, where ginger extract lowered LDL cholesterol to a similar extent as the cholesterol-lowering drug atorvastatin (16).
Both studies also showed reductions in total cholesterol and blood triglycerides.
Bottom Line: There is some evidence, in both animals and humans, that ginger can lead to significant reductions in LDL cholesterol and blood triglyceride levels.
9. Ginger Contains a Substance That May Help Prevent Cancer
Ginger Tea
Cancer is a very serious disease that is characterized by uncontrolled growth of abnormal cells.
Ginger extract has been studied as an alternative treatment for several forms of cancer.
The anti-cancer properties are attributed to 6-gingerol, a substance that is found in large amounts in raw ginger (17, 18).
In a study of 30 individuals, 2 grams of ginger extract per day significantly reduced pro-inflammatory signalling molecules in the colon (19).
However, a follow-up study in individuals at a high risk of colon cancer did not confirm these findings (20).
There is some, albeit limited, evidence that ginger may be effective against pancreatic cancer, breast cancer and ovarian cancer. More research is needed (21, 22, 23).
Bottom Line: Ginger contains a substance called 6-gingerol, which may have protective effects against cancer. However, this needs to be studied a lot more.
10. Ginger May Improve Brain Function and Protect Against Alzheimer’s Disease
Ginger Root in a Wooden Bowl and Spoon
Oxidative stress and chronic inflammation can accelerate the aging process.
They are believed to be among the key drivers of Alzheimer’s disease and age-related cognitive decline.
Some studies in animals suggest that the antioxidants and bioactive compounds in ginger can inhibit inflammatory responses that occur in the brain (24).
There is also some evidence that ginger can enhance brain function directly. In a study of 60 middle-aged women, ginger extract was shown to improve reaction time and working memory (25).
There are also numerous studies in animals showing that ginger can protect against age-related decline in brain function (26, 27, 28).
Bottom Line: Studies suggest that ginger can protect against age-related damage to the brain. It can also improve brain function in elderly women.
11. The Active Ingredient in Ginger Can Help Fight Infections
Ground Ginger in Wooden Spoon
Gingerol, the bioactive substance in fresh ginger, can help lower the risk of infections.
In fact, ginger extract can inhibit the growth of many different types of bacteria (29, 30).
It is very effective against the oral bacteria linked to inflammatory diseases in the gums, such as gingivitis and periodontitis (31).
Fresh ginger may also be effective against the RSV virus, a common cause of respiratory infections (32).
12. Anything Else?
Ginger is one of the very few “superfoods” actually worthy of that term.

Why are blacks not wealthy..
Fegenal Germany: *Why are blacks not wealthy*
Excerpts from an interview with a Jewish leader about Blacks.
INTERVIEWER:
Why are blacks so behind Economically?
JEWISH LEADER:
The only thing blacks understand is Consumption.
Blacks don't understand the importance of creating and building wealth.
The fundamental rule is to keep your money within your racial group.
We the Jews
- build Jewish business,
- hire Jewish,
- buy Jewish and
- spend Jewish. There is nothing wrong with that but it is a basic rule blacks cannot comprehend and follow;
"He kills his fellow blacks daily instead of wanting to see his fellow black do succeed"
93% of blacks killed in America are by other blacks.
Their leaders steal from their people and send the money back to their colonial master from whom they borrow the same money from.
Every successful black wants to spend his money in the country of his colonial masters.
They
- go on holiday abroad,
- buy houses abroad,
- school abroad,
- go for medical treatment abroad etc
instead of spending this money in their own country to benefit their people.
Statistics show that the Jew's money exchanges hands 18 times before leaving his community while for blacks it is probably a maximum of once or even zero.
Only 6% of black money goes back into their community. This is why Jews are at the top and blacks are at the bottom of every ladder of society.
Instead of buying
- Louis Vuitton,
- Hermes,
- expensive cars,
- shoes,
-houses,
-dresses etc,
Blacks could
- industralize Africa,
- build banks and get rid of colonial institutions by putting them out of business.
INTERVIEWER:
What is your thought on failure of blacks after 150yrs?
JEWISH LEADER:
Well, nothing is ever the blackman's fault. His
-compulsive habit of killing his own,
- compulsive material consumption.
-His inability to build businesses or
-preserve wealth are usually somebody else's fault.
INTERVIEWER:
So what can blacks do to liberate themselves
JEWISH LEADER: Blacks must take responsibility. Blacks must unite. And vehemently fight corrupt leaders who run down their country and run to IMF as though IMF is Father Christmas.
They need to look inwards otherwise they will continuously remain colonized and lose their place in history.
Pls forward this until it goes round the continent of Africa.
We all need to learn our lessons quick and build our Nation. Good evening
Good people. Have a cool n wonderful morning

Anti corruption cases brought by President Buhari's Government, how far it has gone, by Bucky Hassan
What Is Happening In 20 High Profile Anti-Corruption Cases Brought By The Buhari Government?
Written by Bucky Hassan.
Many state that the Government has quietly dropped many anti corruption cases after high profile arrests. That is not true. Nigerian justice is notoriously slow but the cases are going through the courts.
Here is the latest in a selection of 20 cases:
1) 4 companies charged with $15Billion money laundering (on behalf of Dame Patience) have pled guilty. 3 other defendants, Waripamo Dudafa (SA on Domestic Affairs to former President GEJ), Amajuoyi Briggs (former GEJ aide), and Adedamola Bolodeoku (banker), have entered non-guilty pleas. Case adjourned till Sept 27th. Justice Babivision presiding.
Patience Jonathan is suing to have the accounts unfrozen.
2) Court upholds the EFCC freezing of Fayose's property assets valued at N1.2Billion. Judge Nnamdi Dimgba rules that the EFCC have the right to build a case against Fayose in preparation for him leaving office, despite the immunity from prosecution he enjoys while in office.
3) Sambo Dasuki possession of illegal arms and money laundering $2.1 Billion trial adjourned until Oct 19th. Dasuki currently held without bail. EFCC has frozen his bank accounts. Court has dismissed his appeal to have the case dismissed. Justice Adeniyi Ademola presiding.
4) Saraki and Ekweremadu forgery trial adjourned until Sept 28. Justice Yusuf Haliu presiding.
5) Saraki false declaration of assets trial at the CCT adjourned until September. Mr Danladi Umar, Chairman of the tribunal presiding.
6) The EFCC have frozen 2 of Fayose's bank accounts with deposits of N382 Million. Fayose has appealed asking the court to lift the freeze. The case has been adjourned until Sept 30th. Justice Taiwo Taiwo presiding.
7) Oliseh Metuh has been charged in 2 different cases:
a) Metuh charged with laundering N400 Million money. Granted N400 Bail. Case adjourned until Oct 27 and Oct 30th. Justice Abang presiding.
b) Metuh charged with criminal destruction of evidence. Bail of N300 Million granted. Justice Ishaq Bello presiding.
Metuh appealed asking his case be dismissed. The Appeal court ruled against him stating he has case to answer.
8) The EFCC has charged Jide Omokore, Victor Briggs, Abiye Membere, David Mbanefo, Atlantic Energy Brass Development Limited and Atlantic Energy Drilling Concepts Limited with money laundering and fraud charges of $1.6 Billion. The defendants granted bail of N50 Million each, with their passports seized. Trial adjourned until Oct 20 and 21st. Justice Binta Nyako Presiding.
While Aluko and Diezani were originally on the charge sheet, the judge struck their names off. The EFCC will bring charges against Aluko and Diezani once it can serve documents on them.
The EFCC have frozen $1.8 Billion in worldwide assets linked to Omokore and Aluko. Seized Assets include: three mansions in Los Angeles, two high-end apartments in New York City, properties in Santa Barbara, California; numerous properties in Lagos, including 43 apartments in Banana Island, 58 vehicles, the Galactica Star yacht, and three airplanes.

Have you prayed for your children as they are about to go back to school
Your words are seed's ,anytime you speak, just know you are planting.
School is about to resume, have you spoken into the life(ves) of your child(ren), have they been anointed for exploits? have you prayed down the excellent spirit that distinguished Daniel on them? but i guess their school, lunch bags are set, well ironed uniforms and sparkling brand new socks are ready to be worn on 19th.
In this world of uncertainties where people go out and not return due to the arrows sent from the under world,or the likes of Boko haram, where students are been initiated with chocolates and sweets, destinies being exchanged, teachers pouring out negative words, children leave home healthy and come back sick,we need to pray Isaiah 59:19b.
Take out time these few days before school begins and decree what ever you want to see in their lives,in proverbs 18:21, the bible says life and death is in d tongue, so what are we waiting for? If they came third place last term, its time to decree first place, if they were sickly last term,it's time to wall them with the fire of the Holy ghost, the bibles says as you say to my ears so will i do, what an open cheque?
Parents, fill your cheque's and draw as much as you can,it's indeed a rare privilege.
Your child(ren) ,wards will not be concern's rather solutions to this world, but it starts with our words.

Underage family planning dangerous – Expert

Drugs
Dr Gbolahan Oyebambi of University of Ilorin Teaching Hospital has said family planning for underage is dangerous for the health and future of the children.
Oyebambi, who made the disclosure in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria in Ilorin on Wednesday, warned against the common practice of underage family planning in the country.
According to him, some girls under the age of 18 are fond of doing family planning to prevent unwanted pregnancy.
He added that family planning was the safest way to prevent unwanted pregnancies among married couples.
The doctor said some parents were aware of their children’s wayward life and aided them by seeking family planning options for them.
“When a girl of 17-year-old knows she is safe to be sexually active, it will make her misbehave and be wayward without any fear,” he said.
He warned parents not to encourage the use of pills for their underage children, adding that “it was evil and suicidal’’.
The doctor also advised medical practitioners to seek proper clarifications before adopting any family planning method for patients.
Oyebambi called on government to reach out to the public through the media, schools, religious houses and hospitals to discourage such practices in the society.
“It is time for the three tiers of government to take a bold step to save the future of our female children by campaigning against underage family planning,” he said.

Very important, pls read, stop drinking water you left in your car, is very dangerous
*V.V.V.V.V.IMPORTANT*
A friend of ours became very sick after drinking water left in a car overnight and she was ill for a couple of months.
No matter how many times you get this E-mail, please send it on!!!!
Bottled water in your car is very dangerous!
On the Ellen show, Sheryl Crow said that this is what caused her breast cancer. It has been identified as the most common cause of the high levels of dioxin in breast cancer tissue..
Sheryl Crow's oncologist told her: women should not drink bottled water that has been left in a car. The heat reacts with the chemicals in the plastic of the bottle which releases dioxin into the water. Dioxin is a toxin increasingly found in breast cancer tissue.
So please be careful and do not drink bottled water that has been left in a car.
Pass this on to all the women in your life. This information is the kind we need to know that just might save us!
Use a stainless steel canteen or a glass bottle instead of plastic!
LET EVERYONE KNOW PLEASE!
This information is also being circulated at Walter Reed Army Medical Center ...
No plastic containers in microwaves.
No plastic water bottles in freezers.
No plastic wrap in microwaves.
Dioxin chemical causes cancer, especially breast cancer.
Dioxins are highly poisonous to cells in our bodies.
Don't freeze plastic bottles with water in them as this releases dioxins from the plastic.
Recently the Wellness Program Manager at Castle Hospital , was on a TV program to explain this health hazard.
He talked about dioxins and how bad they are for us. He said that we should not be heating food in the microwave using plastic containers......
This especially applies to foods that contain fat.
He said that the combination of fat, high heat and plastic releases dioxin into the food.
Instead, he recommends using glass, such as Pyrex or ceramic containers for heating food... You get the same result, but without the dioxin..
So, such things as TV dinners, instant soups, etc., should be removed from their containers and heated in something else.
Paper isn't bad but you don't know what is in the paper. It's safer to use tempered glass, such as Pyrex, etc.
He reminded us that a while ago some of the fast food restaurants moved away from the styrene foam containers to paper. The dioxin problem is one of the reasons....
Also, he pointed out that plastic wrap, such as Cling film, is just as dangerous when placed over foods to be cooked in the microwave.
As the food is nuked, the high heat causes poisonous toxins to actually melt out of the plastic wrap and drip into the food..
Cover food with a paper towel instead.
This is an article that should be sent to anyone important in your life.

Always check your WC before using it.

SOMETIMES WHEN IN SEARCH OF FOOD, IT MAY PURSUE RATS/RODENTS INTO THE CHAMBERS AT THE BACK OF YOUR HOUSE OR EVEN THE SOAK-AWAY PIT. IT STAYS THERE AFTER KILLING/SWALLOWING THE RATS AND TURN THE PLACE TO AN ABODE. FINALLY IT CRAWS THROUGH THE CONNECTING PVC PIPES INTO THE WC INSIDE THE HOUSE.
THIS IS WHY YOU'RE ADVISED TO KINDLY ALWAYS CHECK ANY TOILET WC THOROUGHLY BEFORE YOU SIT ON IT. YOU CAN REGULARLY (MONTHLY) POUR KEROSENE OR A CUP OF SALT INTO THE WC BOWL AND FLUSH. THIS WILL KEEP-OFF REPTILES. PLEASE BE SECURITY CONSCIOUS ALWAYS. THANKS.

The health benefits of bitter kola
Public Service Information
7 Amazing Health Benefits of Bitter Kola:
Bitter Kola also known as Garcinia kola is a tropical flowering plant found in western and central Africa and it produces brown, nut-like seeds.
The nut which is about 3-5 cm in length has an ellipsoid shape. A brown to deep brown peel covers it. This peel is removed before it is eaten. It leaves a bitter taste in the mouth when it is eaten. It is this bitterness that its name is derived.
It has been used in African culture for centuries for both traditional and medicinal purposes. It contains dimeric flavonoid, lipase inhibitor which is believed to have many healing benefits.
In Yoruba land it is called Orogbo. The Hausas call it Miji-goro, while it is called Akiilu by the Igbos....... Bitter Kola was eaten mostly by the elderly people because of their belief that it could prolong life. But the truth is that researches in modern science have revealed that bitter kola contains chemical compounds that will help the breakdown of glycogen in the liver and has other medicinal uses which account for its longevity property in man.
“Bitter kola is anti-poison too, it has the ability to repel evil men and spirits, it could sound superstitious but it works.
The naturalist even said that the seed and the bark of bitter kola should be eaten together in cases where food poisoning is suspected, “it helps to detoxify the system”. Indeed, it really works!
This write-up highlights 7 health values of bitter kola and why eating it should be encouraged:
1. Bitter kola health benefit for malaria
Considerable experimental studies found that chemical constituents in bitter kola have anti-malaria properties. That aside, traditional healers have for many years prescribed bitter kola for the treatment of malaria infections.
Researchers who reported that bitter kola had anti-malaria effect in the 2010 issue of Journal of Medicinal Plants Research, from a survey of plants used by traditional healers in the Democratic Republic of Congo, attributed this to its quinones content.
Further more, kolaviron, the powerful chemical compound found in bitter kola, was reportedly tested on a malaria parasite and found to inhibit malarial activity.
2. Bitter kola improves lung functions
Bitter kola (Garcinia kola) has been used for centuries to treat chest colds in traditional medicine, but research has taken a look and found out why it is effective. A study in the 2009 issue of The Internet Journal of Pulmonary Medicine, performed on mice, reports that Garcinia kola improved respiratory function after 28 days of use of a Garcinia extract.
the study shows that Garcinia kola works by dilating the alveolar ducts and sacs in the lungs by improving the strength of the fibers in the lung tissue. Bitter kola’s beneficial lung properties are attributed to its high antioxidant content.
3. Reduces eye pressure (Glaucoma)
An increase in eye pressure can lead to glaucoma, according to a report from The New York Times Health Guide. Researchers at Lagos University Teaching Hospital in Nigeria tested the effectiveness of eye drops that contained 0.5 percent extract of Garcinia kola. The results of their study, published in the January 2010 issue of Middle East African Journal of Opthamology, showed that the opthamolic solution that contained the Garcinia significantly reduced eye pressure when used twice a day.
4. It helps in weight loss
Bitter Kola has been known to be a natural hunger suppressant and also increases the urge to drink more water.
5. Health benefit for HIV
Bitter kola is a potent antibiotic which could be efficacious in the treatment of HIV and AIDS. A researcher with the Nigeria Natural Medicine Development Agency (NNMDA), Mrs. Chinyere Nwokeke said that bitter kola could be used in treating opportunistic infections associated with HIV.
She said: “Bitter kola is highly recommended in the treatment of HIV and AIDS because of its antibacterial, detoxification, and cleansing properties”. She also said that the chemical, Saponin, in bitter kola is responsible for its cleansing effect. Saponin is mainly used as tonic for the liver, it enhances the functions of the liver and gall bladder.
6. It improves male fertility
Garcinia kola, also called bitter kola is sometimes believed to cure impotence. Frequent taking of bitter kola boosts a man’s performance in bed with a woman......... 7. Remedy for osteoarthritis
Osteoarthritis is the most common form of arthritis, characterised by pain, inflammation and limited movement in the joints, according to the National Institutes of Health. Causes of osteoarthritis can include joint injury, obesity and aging.
Since many arthritis sufferers prefer natural herbal medicines to other pain relievers and medications, researchers at Obafemi Awolowo University in Nigeria tested the effects of Garcinia kola against arthritis symptoms. The results of the study, written by Olayinka O. Adegbehingbe and published in the July 2008 issue of the Journal of Orthopaedic Surgery and Research, conclude that Garcinia kola significantly reduced inflammation and pain and increased joint movement in subjects that had osteoarthritis symptoms.
Another importance of bitter kola is that its repels snakes. It can be used to chase snakes away. For snake prevention, spread it around the building.
It would be recalled that Nigeria’s world renowned Professor, Maurice Iwu during the Ebola Virus Disease said bitter kola could be used to prevent EVD.

Power of money. very interesting read.
*Extremely interesting & Must Read*
*POWER OF MONEY*
By Adam Khoo ( Singapore 's youngest millionaire at 26 yrs.)
Some of you may already know that I travel around the region pretty frequently, having to visit and conduct seminars at my offices in Malaysia , Indonesia , Thailand and Suzhou ( China ) . I am in the airport almost every other week so I get to bump into many people who have attended my seminars or have read my books.
Recently, someone came up to me on a plane to KL and looked rather shocked. He asked, 'How come a millionaire like you is traveling economy?' My reply was, 'That's why I am a millionaire. ' He still looked pretty confused.
This again confirms that greatest lie ever told about wealth (which I wrote about in my latest book 'Secrets of Self-Made Millionaires'). Many people have been brainwashed to think that millionaires have to wear Gucci, Hugo Boss, Rolex, and sit on first class in air travel. This is why so many people never become rich because the moment they earn more money, they think that it is only natural that they spend more, putting them back to square one.
The truth is that most self-made millionaires are frugal and only spend on what is necessary and of value. That is why they are able to accumulate and multiply their wealth so much faster.
Over the last 7 years, I have saved about 80% of my income while today I save only about 60% (because I have my wife, mother in law, 2 maids, 2 kids, etc. to support). Still, it is way above most people who save 10% of their income (if they are lucky).
I refuse to buy a first class ticket or to buy a $300 shirt because I think that it is a complete waste of money. However, I happily pay $1,300 to send my 2-year old daughter to Julia Gabriel Speech and Drama without thinking twice.
When I joined the YEO (Young Entrepreneur's Orgn) a few years back (YEO is an exclusive club open to those who are under 40 and make over $1m a year in their own business), I discovered that those who were self-made thought like me. Many of them with net worth well over $5 m, travelled economy class and some even drove Toyotas and Nissans, not Audis, Mercs, BMWs..
I noticed that it was only those who never had to work hard to build their own wealth (there were also a few ministers' and tycoons' sons in the club) who spent like there was no tomorrow. Somehow, *when you did not have to build everything from scratch, you do not really value money. This is precisely the reason why a family's wealth (no matter how much) rarely lasts past the third generation*
Thank God my rich dad foresaw this terrible possibility and refused to give me a cent to start my business.
Then some people ask me, 'What is the point in making so much money if you don't enjoy it?' The thing is that I don't really find happiness in buying branded clothes, jewellery or sitting first class. Even if buying something makes me happy it is only for a while, it does not last.
^Material happiness never lasts, it just gives you a quick fix*. After a while you feel lousy again and have to buy the next thing which you think will make you happy. I always think that if you need material things to make you happy, then you live a pretty sad and unfulfilled life..
Instead, *what makes me happy is*
when I see my children laughing and playing and learning so fast.
What makes me happy is when I see my companies and trainers reaching more and more people every year in so many more countries.
What makes me really happy is when I read all the emails about how my books and seminars have touched and inspired someone's life.
What makes me really happy is reading all your wonderful posts about how this blog is inspiring you. *This happiness makes me feel really good for a long time, much much more than what a Rolex would do for me.*
I think the point I want to put across is that* happiness must come from doing your life's work (be it teaching, building homes, designing, trading, winning tournaments etc.)*and the money that comes is only a by-product.
*Save this message to read it from time to time*

Pray this powerful prayer
Powerful one minute Prayer
------------------------
This prayer takes about one minute! Pray it sincerely, and then those you send it to, will pray for you!
Prayer by Bishop T.D. Jakes
"When you are DOWN to nothing ..God is UP to something"
Father, in the Name of Jesus, bless me even while I'm reading this prayer and bless the one that sent this to me in a special way. Open supernatural doors in our lives today. Save and set free! Give us a double portion of your Spirit as we take back everything that the Devil has stolen:
Emotional Health, Physical Health, Finances,
Relationships, Children, Jobs, Homes, Marriages.
I cancel every plot, plan and scheme the enemy has devised against us in the MATCHLESS NAME OF JESUS.
And I declare:
NO WEAPON FORMED AGAINST US WILL PROSPER.
I speak LIFE into every dead situation. And, I thank you that nothing is over until YOU say it's over! I speak prophetically into our lives and to our situations:
Our households are blessed;
Our health is blessed;
Our marriages are blessed;
Our finances are blessed;
Our business are blessed;
Our jobs are blessed;
Our children are blessed;
Our grandchildren are blessed;
Our parents are blessed;
Our siblings are blessed;
Our ministries are blessed;
and, Our decisions are blessed.
Husbands are on the way; Wives are on the way;
Mortgages are paid and debts cancelled;
Our hearts' desires are on the way; according to
YOUR perfect will and plan for our lives.
IN JESUS NAME! AMEN!
Pray this prayer, then send it to EVERYBODY YOU KNOW
Within hours countless people will have prayed for you, and you will have caused a multitude of people to pray to God for each other.
--- Please pass this prayer on and stay blessed.

🔴WHERE ARE THE OWNERS OF THOSE HOUSES ❓
By Tola Adeniyi
🔻When I wrote Visit the Mortuary in the Sunday Times early in 1974, the motive was to draw attention to the emerging decay in our national ethos brought about by the emergency millionaires created by the Civil War, the Udoji bonanza, and the untouchables in the Gowon administration.
🔻It was the era of lavish parties where bundles of wads of currency notes were thrown at the feet of musicians or pasted on the foreheads of sweating celebrants.
🔻I was at the Church service for the funeral of my former boss Mr Kola Bamgbelu’s father and had my nostrils confronted by the heavily perfumed, gaily dressed women whose well packaged and padded buttocks were bulging through the pews they sat on. It was the most lavish display of wealth and opulence I ever saw.
🔻Earlier on in the month I had been sent by my Chairman Dr Babatunde Jose to the Military Morgue to confirm the sudden death of my mother’s cousin, Western Region’s most powerful Secretary to Military Government and Head of Service Peter T Odumosu.
🔻Mortuary attendants left me dumbfounded by their emotionless identification of dead bodies.
👉 Those two events coupled with the impression planted on my consciousness by my first visit to London much earlier taught me unforgettable lessons on the subject of Vanity upon Vanity.
It has therefore been a recurring subject of conversation for me; the ephemeral status of status, the ordinariness of every human being regardless of the temporary position of power, affluence and influence, the fact that no person is actually bigger or greater than what he is when stark naked in the bathroom, and worthlessness of craze for material acquisition.
🔻On my first visit to the United Kingdom what struck me like thunder bolt was the obvious realisation that more than 99% of the original owners of all the old buildings in the City of London were dead❗
👉 And I transferred that thought to my hometown Ago-Iwoye, the greatest city in the world. My mind ran through all the roads, routes, streets and corners combed with my feet as my colleagues and I went through the exciting town in our youth.
👉We were home at Isamuro, Igan, Ibipe, Idode, Imere, Imosu, Odosinusi and Imososi as we joyfully played round the exciting ancient town in those days.
🔻Looking back now, more than 99% of the houses that fed us with Ikokore and Ebiripo have lost their original owners to death.📌
👉This is the same story, I am sure, in Benin and Calabar, two cities that reputedly have more land ladies than land lords, and in all towns and cities that are older than 300 years. Lagos, Ibadan, Kano and Sokoto are old cities and they keep expanding and modernising, but nonetheless, the inner cities of those ancient towns must have lost the original landlords of the major buildings that gave those cities their peculiar character.
🔻As we go through this piece, it is my desire that readers of whatever age, but more especially the older readers should cast their minds on the old towns and cities well known to them and imagine for a moment if the builders and proud owners of the many buildings thereat are still alive.❓
🔻In my generation, the years 1972 to 1979 were the years of property acquisition craze.
Most men in my generation at that time were dying to erect a building that they would call their own. 👉Thank God for the inimitable foresight of Chief Obafemi Awolowo who created the Housing Corporation before our time and made Mortgage loans available. And my generation did not settle for modest buildings. The reason for that choice I would never know, but it was simply the fashion.
👉Dr Kunle Olajide, physician and philosopher, must have led the pack when he completed his first mansion in a huge complex before 1974! He was just 30 years old❗
👉Now in our 70s, most of us are likely to go the way of our predecessors. 👉And in 50 years or thereabout, passersby would be asking the same question🔁
👉Where are the owners of these houses❓
▶This is the crux of this article. ‼‼‼‼‼
🔻If those who acquired their dwelling houses genuinely and with their sweat and hard earned money could say ‘bye-bye’ to those buildings, how much more for those who acquire buildings they never occupy❓
🔻Does it ever occur to all those stealing and stealing, looting and looting, and buying up properties in Japan, Germany, and Papua New Guinea that sooner or later those huge buildings for which they lost their name and soul would belong to new owners ❓
🔻Do they ever reflect and realise that sooner or later passersby would look at their ill-gotten buildings and ask “
♦"where are the original owners of these houses❓”
🔻If only we stop to reflect on the fact that our great grandfather’s farmlands have reverted to forests and bushes, 🔁 If only we stop to reflect on the example of our great grand parents whose once towering buildings are now desolate in the villages and are now occupied▶If at all, by itinerary labourers💯
🔻If only, if only, we would moderate our life style and remember that every exhibitionism of opulence is vanity📌
🔻Nigeria needs to be brought back to the path of sanity.
🔻We need to come back to moral rectitude.
🔻Jail houses without moral reawakening cannot change Nigeria.📌
🔻Unfortunately Mosques and Churches have lost their sense of direction.
🔻Mass poverty has reduced congregants to morons.
🔻And rogues in religious robes are feeding fat on people’s ignorance and low self esteem.
🔻The solution therefore lies in dialogues and conversations about lessons of life.
🔻We have attached undue importance to many things to the detriment of our peace of mind and humanity.📌
🔻We must continue to ask the question; where are the owners of these houses❓anytime we visit our towns and villages and behold those houses that once stood majestically in the then centre of the town❓
🔻I know not many of us can visit London or Austria, but we do have ancient towns like Zungeru, Abakaliki and Ile-Ife. Go round those ancient places and ask yourself ▶
🔻‘Where are the owners of these old, old buildings❓
🔻The answer in your mind’s eye tells you that you should not bother to own houses in South Africa or United Arab Emirates.
