There is anxiety in Bayelsa State over the health condition of the 104-year-old mother of the All Progressives Congress (APC) running mate in the December 5 governorship election, Madam Ebifeghe Dikoro.
Some gunmen in Foroupa community, Southern Ijaw Local Government Area of the state, kidnapped Madam Dikoro, mother of Mr. Wilberforce Igiri, recently.
The kidnappers have refused to contact the family to make any demand for her release, as it is usually the practise with kidnappers.
The news of her death was discussed at the Sylva/ Igiri Campaign Organisation as party supporters trooped to the place to ascertain whether the story was true or not.
Director of Media and Publicity of the Organisation, Nathan Egba said they are hopeful the police and the Joint Military Task Force will rescue her either dead or alive.
